Sounds like our Evoque which is making a similar noise at the moment. I thought that was a wheel bearing and I was right. Getting it fixed under warranty because it shouldn't really happen on a new car I don't think?
I had 2 wheels bearings fixed by SEAT on my old car, was actually my fault as I clipped a kerb in the snow which caused the damage but after some fuss with SEAT I got them to do it under warranty!
I'm hoping it's just the PAS fluid but sounds more likely that it's a bearing or maybe the PAS pump

Josh,
All parts are in stock for the Power Steering and wheel bearings and good to go same/next day.
However best to check the PAS fluid level and belt before you splash the cash.
Just drop me a PM if I can help further mate.
Alex.
Good stuff! Cheers mate! Will check the fluid as soon as I get off work, if it's not that then I'll be in touch!
-
Also, if it is either the bearing or power steering pump, any idea how much I'm looking at to get it sorted?
-
Sounds very plausible from the noise it's making, would a shot bearing not make the noise all the time though rather than just as I'm turning right?
Just to add to this, a thought has just popped into my head that a couple of weeks ago I noticed what seemed to be the powersteering pump getting slightly louder but thought nothing of it at the time but come to think of it now, the whining noise may have something to do with that?
-
Noticed that a noise that has slowly developed and got worse the past week and seems to be coming from my drivers side front wheel arch. Only seems to happen, or at least it's more noticeable when turning right.
As I say it's a kind of whining/grinding noise, at first I thought it sounded like the wheel rubbing on some bodywork but it's since got worse.
Anyone have any ideas what it could be, in work at the moment and won't get a chance to have it checked out till the weekend most likely but just wondering if there's been a common issue which sounds like it might relate to this?
Cheers!

And Lion is the brand name by the way. Just noting this as some people seem to think I'm refererring to Lithium Ion batteries
-
We just supplied and fitted a Bosch battery to a members Zed, most local motor factors will stock them...
Go Bosch with Euro Parts. Problem sorted
Cheers both, I'm popping round to Europarts later but they don't seem to have the Bosch one in stock. They do have the slightly cheaper 'Lion' batteries in stock however and speaking ealrier to a friend of mine who works in a local garage, he says that the use they Lion batteries all the time. Budget make I guess but 3 year guarantee and seem to have decent reviews. Need to get it sorted tonight so may have to go for this one. Anyone have any experience with Lion?

Its a piece of **** to fit yourself mate. Google 350z battery change guide for a idea how to do it if your not sure. Took me about 10 minutes if that
Yeah, recovery guy told me to do it myself, said it's very easy so will most liekyl just pick one up from Euro parts and do that! Cheers!

I just went for halfrauds phillips battery. Got them to fit it for like 3pound. Took the guy abiut an hour
Do you remeber how much it was roughly if you don't mind me asking? Haha, I've never trusted any of the Halfords stuff to fit anything!
Just looked through the book and picked up the one it said fitted. Appeared to be the same battery as in a 1.4 nissan almera which I thought was odd seeing as the engine Is over twice the size.
Does seem a but odd haha! Will speak to Euro Parts first I think, see what they say!

I know nothing about pros and cons of different batteries but I got mine from halfords and it cost £90 ish.
Thanks mate, do you know whether that was the calcium or lead battery? No problems with it I presume?
-
Have had a look around using the search tool but couldn't really find an answer.
Basically my car started a little less smoothly than usual last night and on the return journey it wouldn't start at all. Recovery came and jump started it and said I'd need a new battery, hopefully it's nothing more than that. It wouldn't start again this morning so now looking to get a battery from somewhere today.
My question is, which battery should I go for? I'm not looking for a super fancy one as I have no extra ICE or anything that would require it, just need one that isn't going to gove me any issues. Euro parts seem to suggest a fair range from £50 (Lion Battery (Battery 031 3 Year Guarantee))to £85 (Exide Battery (Premium Battery 031 4 Year Guarantee))
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Out of interest, how easy are these to put on and take off? I take it this needs to be done when going for an MOT if a 'friendly' MOT tester isn't availble?
Also, do they effect the MPG or sound noticeably?
-
Will take them if not sold.....
-
Possibly interested in just the lip. Are you able to remove it? Also, open to offers on it maybe?

Back to my original question though, either way will I still need both these leads from incartech...
Looks right to me
Good stuff, cheers mate! Gonna be a lot of wires behind that HU
P.s. COYA!

Thanks for advice mate! Will wait till the HU comes and try that first.
In my old car I had an amp and 2 subs fitted to the standard SEAT HU professionally. I'm guessing he spliced the rca cables in order to do this and tbh there was no effect on the sound quality so hopefully it won't effect it in this situation

If you have Bose then the Kenwood in your post only has 2xRCA so you have F + R or S/W
Sorry mate, bit of a noob when it comes to audio! What is S/W? I have actually bought that very Kenwood, does it mean the Bose won't work properly then?
I've since worked out you mean the Sub won't work?
Anyway, I'm guessing I need 1 more RCA output? If so, would one of these splitters do the job without effecting the output quality/wattage etc?

Bringing this thread back up, can anyone just confirm that I need both leads here if fitting a kenwood doube din?

And is that all I need to fit?
Cheers!

Thanks lads! Yeah, don't want to do mine black cos I think you lose the design and doesn't do much for nice wheels. If I do it'll be a light anthracite I think but tempted just to keep them silver!
-
Thanks guys, will be adding them to the to do list and will hopefully be making an order in the near future

Cheers buddy! I drove my last car for a few thousand miles with silly camber but that was all about show and not go but as long as it's nothing dramatic don't see a worry.
Think when I come to it I'll probs chuck the springs on first and if there's any major effects then look at the camber adjustment.
Anyone have a link for the best place to buy the eibach's?

Before I check the fluid, if it is indeed low, what do people reccomend to top up the PAS fluid. Any particular brands, preferably available somewhere like Halfords or other car parts stores that I can pop into this afternoon?
Cheers!
