I both love and Hate my 350z. Love it in the summer with the roof down. Hate the look compared to the coupe..Sorta wished I'd bought a coupe now. Funny thing is.. When I was looking I decided on a black coupe... And decided no matter what.. I'm not buying a silver one and deffo not a roadster...Ugly things... Hi mate - im interested in the airbox. Mines 2005 and has a cheap K&N syle cone on. Is this airbox and filter all I need to return it all to stock? all mounts etc? if so I'll have that please

just sorted it now thanks all Removed the one way valve - blew into it and couldnt blow through no matter which way - so took a 3.5mm drill to it... Now working perfectly. Will prob replace the drilled out valve with a straight through pipe from an old fish tank setup later. Cheers

Hi - I have a cheap cone/ram air filter fitted - no heat guard. Does anyone have the original stock setup they want to get rid of? Consider any aftermarket one too as mine looks like its been washed and has some rust on the outside mesh (inside looks clean) Want to put it back to as it was.... Cheers

Hi Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. 2005 Roadster. Windscreen washer not working - yes its full The Lights are washing fine though when I press that. When I try and wash the windscreen I can hear a pump but nothing happens... Please tell me whereabout I need to look - it looks like pump is somewhere under where you fill it but I;m not sure what needs to be took off to have a look Thanks

Yea, dont get me wrong - I will replace it - was just not feasible at this moment in time. It fitted straight on, so fit was ok - just finish quality of tailpipes poor. I may be selling the car due to a job change, if not I'll get a replacement of here at a later date. Cheers

The back box on my 350z broke after the flange.. and its been blowing for last few months..(sounded good apart from volume!!) Thing is, I have now had to fit a replacement backbox on as MOT due. Its a standard backbox replacement from Europarts (£165) from Klarius exhausts. (I was going to get a janspeed or the like but need a full set of rubber too and money needs to be managed) I can't remember what the original sounded like, and I think the originals were tuned... but not sure if that it was just the backbox that was tuned. This one doesn't seem to have the same sound as the original - Does that sound right? The car actually feels a little quicker and more responsive now, and it still has a nice growl, but not like before. I'm hoping its all in my mind, but does anyone know different? And as for the tailpipe tips... they are terrible ... will look at covering or chopping them off and welding original tips on Cheers

Cheers People, will prob have another go in the summer, when the roads warm up.... My 300ZX TT had Racelogic traction and launch too...incredible setup. As someone stated earlier - the 350z impresses most up at higher speeds when you roll on to overtake... Im happy enough with it....for now.... be happier when the bloody sun comes out and I can get roof down and enjoy evening cruising...

miss the boost of the turbo's I bought the car to generally enjoy in the sunshine, which I'm sure if the british weather ever decides to right itself, I will love......... however, not sure if there are any small mods that would release power. Already been told these are not worth chipping, so will just enjoy it for what it is.. a comfortable GT sports soft top... May sell after summer and get a coupe.. On the old tt - you could fit 2 welding tips for about 70p and get nearly 30HP more!! cheap and easy mod... Cheers all.

Hi Just trialled a 0-60 on an old unused straight, as you do. Running a 350Z Roadster 2005, standard (from what I know) apart from having the air filter box removed and a JDM/K&N Style cone fitted. Plugged in an OBD2 Bluetooth and also used the GPS on my Android Phone (Calibrated it first) with Torque Pro. Since I had the car, it never felt as fast as my 300ZX TT, which its obviously not... but dissapointed with the resuls. 5 runs and the best timing I could get is 7.7 secs, worst was 8.6 (had ESP on). Thats roof up and all things hammered down. Specs say it should be around 5.3 - 5.6 secs.... Can't see mine getting anywhere near there. I normally just drive around and enjoy the mid-range power a little listening to the exhaust, and am *normally* not one for 0-60 etc.. just was interested how quick it was...and isn't Anyone else with a std roadster got similar times? Want to keep the same power I have with the amp etc..Hopefully looking for something thats straight replacement, plug n play... hi mate, if you still have this im interested. I have the BOSE setup in my GT and am looking to stream bluetooth audio. Is this a direct replacement for my CD/Tape player (all harnesses needed etc) to directly swap out? I know you say all harnesses included, but not sure if the BOSE one is different due to amps etc. Thanks

Hi all Just bought my first 350Z, I was talking to Beefy about buying his but it was just above my budget...so I viewed this local Z. Not what I was after, I was after a black coupe, but the minute I saw this in the flesh I loved it. Then I heard it...I was like...."take my money" So Im now the proud owner of a GT Roadster, with 30K on the clock. I dare say I will have lots of questions, but am aware theres a search function My previous Car was the 300ZX TT SWB which I loved, and whilst the roadster doesnt have the brutal acceleration of that I cant knock it at all. Its just the noise this thing makes...... Thought I'd show my old car as we're all Zed enthusiasts

Cant do it - spent last hour studying roadsters vs coupe and the black coupe is just perfect...black matte wrap even nicer... Think its gotta be a black coupe.. Still like to know if the auto box is any good in real life though Cheers

Keep looking at the lines on the coupe model - its much nicer!! 2nd thoughts about the roadster now... One more question - apart from the "driving experience" is the auto box on these any good? Thanks

Morning all, Going to look at a low mileage (30k) 2005 Zed (possibly today)... Its a roadster, which tbh I am not keen on because when the roof is down its gorgeous, but pics of the roof up (which it will prob spend most of its life with in our current weather) it reminds me of a noddy car!! But going to look at it in the flesh may change my mind... It ticks *nearly* all the other boxes for me.... Want a low mileage, UK (for cheaper Insurance), 2005 or earlier model (tax reasons - damned if Im paying an extra £200 per year), GT in Black or Grey. Few things I would like to know.. I noticed the steering wheel controls are not there on the left side..I believe this may be stereo controls? Are these easy to add later or is it a new steering wheel needed? Weight - I take it the roadster is a fair bit heavier/slower...Any idea on what the extra weight is and real world performance losses? Mileage: Its on 30K and just had its 2015 service (Nissan serviced every year - approx 3-4k per year)... I want to keep full Nissan history with it, so would look to take it to a Nissan dealer for servicing but that sort of scares me...(Cost). Anyone know when the next service is (mileage) and costs. Is there a big service coming up...? I normally pay local garage £60 for yearly service on Audi so need to be sat down for answer probably.... Pic below of what Im looking at... It says 18" Rays, but from the pic they look to small. I will want to add satnav to it when I get one, was this a factory option or aftermarket only? Trying my hardest to like it with the roof up!!
