  1. Part exchanging my car at the weekend - this exhaust will go with the car unless it sells before.

System has done in the region of 30k miles, looking for £500. I'm based just outside Frodsham in the North West (minutes off the M56) - collection only.

    Info and new price: https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/invidia-nissan-370z-09-gemini-cat-back-exhaust-rolled-stainless-steel-tip.html

  2. The s2000 club seem to have an annual "megameet", which looks to change location each year. Yorkshire last year, Wales this year, Nothern Ireland next. Seems like a good idea to have a yearly event but to change location so as to keep it fresh.

+1 to this! A euro trip would probably be too costly for me most times it came around, I would have thought. Somewhere in the UK each time would be brilliant, though. I'm still enjoying Wales each year, but can understand why others who've been around much longer might be getting bored.

It's the quality of organisation (Colin, Will and Graham always amaze me, in particular) and friendliness of the whole group that makes the event so enjoyable, so this is a very minor quibble, but we did think the Moreton was starting to look a bit under-maintained and the amount we had to pay for the meal *on top* of the club's contribution made it start to look like taking advantage. So I can only imagine that a bit of competition from other hotels elsewhere might keep things reasonable when returning to Wales.

  3. Can't believe I missed this! Set a reminder that didn't, well, remind me!

Just in case it matters, I'd be willing to up the bid on the P3 service with Atkins if it doesn't work out with the current winner for some reason.

Sorry , I'll be combining this with a trip around the moors for me and the wife and my mileage has just triggered for a p3.

No probs ph! Thought I'd best get my name down as a just in case! If you haven't used Atkins before, they're absolutely brilliant :)

  4. screamers beautiful GT Edition............shame its the wrong colour :stir:

    Whyioughta!

Our cars are like fire and ice - the stripes caused by my wax skills are unfortunate, I'll admit, but they were balanced out by the iffy red paintwork on your calipers (conveniently hidden from your photo) :stir:

Absolutely great fun as usual this year :teeth: Roll on 2015!

  6. Just wanted to say a quick-yet-big thanks to Chris for a brilliant service experience! Travelled 2+ hrs to get my car to Atkin's - absolutely worth it. The P2 service on my 370z was done quickly, I was lent the new Juke courtesy car (was surprised at how nicely it drives!) and a number of small warranty issues were sorted. Just taking a look at the few small issues (let alone fixing them) immediately puts Atkin's ahead of almost every other dealer I've had the displeasure of visiting! The friendly staff is just icing on the cake :-)

As is the club discount ;-)

    Thanks again!

  7. Is there perhaps an opportunity to split people up into groups by the pace at which they want to drive? It'd mean that those who want to drive faster are less likely to get 'held up' behind someone who prefers to keep to a slower pace and it'd also reduce the chances of people being left behind. Rather than somehow trying to manage that on the day (and trying to prevent a group of 20 and another group of 2!), could people be asked to choose their groups beforehand (with limits on the number of people per group)?

That's almost certainly too big an ask given all the other organising several guys have to do for us every year, but it might spark a more doable idea along the same lines!

  8. That sounds about right - I was quoted £200 for the front and rear passenger side on mine by The Wheel Specialist Chester. Even though it's impossible to ever see a wheel on the left of a car at the same time as one on the right, knowing that one sides' wheels were a slightly different shade to the other would probably do my head in!

Anyways, looks like you got a great job done there! I love the colour of our wheels - it's pretty rare to see darkened alloys that have such a fantastic metallic effect to them instead of just being flat black/grey. And it's even better now knowing that they can be well restored when the worst happens!

good to catch up with you too ( as opposed to passing when i was leaving and you were arriving  )

  9. Thanks so much once again to everyone involved in the organisation of the Wales meet! It doesn't take much imagination to get an idea of the massive effort that goes into running it so that people like me can simply turn up, be led along some incredible routes and be fed some lovely food!

For the same people who do all that to also find time to have a chat and make you feel welcome is absolutely stunning. I don't think anything I write here can express the appreciation I have for you all! Thanks in particular to Colin, Will, Graham and Chris this year - all absolutely brilliant guys.

Also just want to say thanks to everyone else who made time for me this year - I know that for many people Wales is a once-a-year opportunity to meet up with good mates, so for them to bother making an effort with still-fairly-newbies like me is really appreciated! Andy, Humpy, Bocaaark, Ian, Mark, etc, etc.

Was great to see Tom and his dad, and Chris and Zoe again - you guys already feel like old friends!

  10. They look great, Andy! Were they powder coated in the end, or repaired in some other way only where the damage occurred? I believe that in an ideal world, you'd go for a complete powder coated refurb, but due to the process, it's so much more difficult to get a match against the original colour (so you end up having the front and back alloys on the same side of the car done at once).

Just in case it helps anyone in the North West, I recently picked up the smallest of damage on my passenger-side front (about 1.5cm long and so shallow, you could barely feel the missing paint) - Car Cosmetics at the Cheshire Oaks Porsche garage (the CC guys have their own building behind the dealership in the middle of the car park) sorted it for £40+vat and it's completely invisible to me.

Was great to finally meet you at the weekend, by the way! :)

  11. Absolutely gutted to hear this awful news. RIP Mark. Amy and the rest of Mark's family are in our thoughts.

Kim and I were lucky enough to drive in convoy with Mark and Amy for much of the Sunday at the last Wales meet (our first) and we got to have a brief chat before leaving - a friendly, likeable and chatty guy who we were really looking forward to getting to know better.

He'll clearly be missed by many people.

  12. Looking B)

Glad you're happy with the Invidia! I love mine, too. It was exactly what I wanted - a sound that would pass for 'aggressive' OEM really. The best bit is the way the note alters as as the revs rise from deep and bassy to a howl at the far end :band:

Would be interested to see the car with just spacers (25mm all round) on it - that alone does wonders for the stance.

  13. Really sorry to hear about this, Will! :scare: Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, either

I had some fool key my (pre-370Z) Z4, although they decided I would appreciate their handiwork much more if they keyed the entire length of car - front wing and side of bonnet (the Z4's bonnet wraps around to form part of the front wings), the door and the rear wing!

I suspect part of the reasoning for the more extensive redesign was the roundel badges ;) The Massive Show-Off met black exterior with red nappa interior spec probably didn't help, either!

On the upside, I did get to see just how good a job can be done of respraying - I'm like you (a stone chip or mark on an alloy kills me), yet there wasn't a single sign of the fix (and I really checked)! Hope you get it sorted a-ok

  14. You might want to (if you haven't already) simply open and close the bonnet again - I saw a similar thing on my car not long after I'd got it (having had the bonnet up). Think it may have been caused by not dropping it shut from a high enough distance.

    :)

  15. I bet a more readily-available Evo-R fang cover replica would be popular - it's widely accepted that it greatly improves the front-end on any non-black cars :) I got away with the standard $45 shipping, but I notice Evo-R now state that they'll quote a separate figure for shipping outside the US... I bet it's a fair bit more than $45

I've always loved the Ings+1 under-bumper add-on myself, although I'd be concerned about it on speedbumps and the like :scare:

They're relatively subtle, but I'd absolutely love these: http://www.zshop.ca/parts/z34-aero-works-cf-front-side-spoilers/ at the right price - lower risk of damage than something like the Ings+1, they'd presumably be fairly cheap and they'd work with the Evo-R fang cover (both physically and aesthetically) and improve the looks without being obviously aftermarket!
