Going to try to make my own under strut sub box with sub facing toward the front of the car
What's your thoughts on a mutant amp? Got it free from a family member so not to sure on the quality of it.. Also came with a 12" sub box so had to buy a new 10" JL sub from net so dismantled the box and took what I need from that.. (Any one want a mutant sub and box lol)
So before I build it just wanted your guys opinions on some stuff
-When building the box does it need to have a hole to let the vibration out most aftermarket sub boxes I've seen have holes in but the understand why these ones don't
- Why does the majority of strut boxes face towards the back is there a benefit to this?
- Will I see a benefit with standard bose door speakers, head unit is a Sony aftermarket one and rear speakers are pioneer (never got round to changing door ones)
Also realised that the boot floor won't open with the new box installed so gonna hinge it so it still lifts up without having to take the box out, haven't got a spare wheel so will only need it for access to jack and brace etc.. Pretty clever I thought
Anyways anybody got any tips for me, never done this before
Gonna also wrap the box in some suede I have laying about so hopefully looks Ok

Earth the handbrake wire to something metal like a part of the chassis, all the handbrake does is disconnect the ground wire when off so you can't watch DVDS while driving

I may be wrong but If it's an import then does it not need a rear fog conversion when imported into the UK
Mine did
If so then this is more than likely the rear fog light not about the switch on the right thou

I can't imagine halfords would know how to do it, it's not as easy as most cars, before I took mine to buster I took it to a local auto electrics specialist and they said it couldn't be done, halfords will manage to fit it but you will probably be left with poor sound
Speak to buster he has mod that by-passes this so it can be done

@DannyG - The boot light is indeed not a festoon. Its just a W5W bulb, same fitment (but not the same actual size) as the sidelights and side indicators.
Have u got any u can send me please?
If so pm me payment your details
-
Can u do just the boot light LED for a 350 please?
It's not the festoon type like eBay suggests!

Not yet haven't got one at home, think there's one at work so will try that tomorrow too thanks
-
Yea that's what I might do but they will end up testing it to make sure and it will be ok, because it only happens now and again, so they may not accept it back
-
Yea,connections are fine.. just put a battery/alternator test and all was good, but then I guess it would be if the Car worked when I unlocked it, I'll try the fuse now Thanks
-
That's what I thought but I haven't left no lights or heated seats switched on, it wouldn't be the show and go number plate would it lol, had that on for a month and haven't had any issues with it, that works with out the keys in

Hi all
Car seems to go dead on me
Twice today I've gone to unlock my car, and nothing had to get in with the key, start it up and it works fine but radio and Speedo resets which would suggest the batteries gone flat temporarily, battery is only 6 week's old, when driving volt gauge is at 14v but I'm sure it normally its at 15v and with the keys in but not cranked its at 8v
Any ideas? duff battery?
