  1. thanks for the quick reply, i had mention this to the nissan service manager when booking car in . he said no as car doesn't have a dmf but just a flywheel, but he then came back to me saying i was right and he was shock as the cost was £2200. but it won't be that as it just a gearbox chatter , so we will see

  2. hi, guys. when switching off engine, I am experiencing a rattle that seems to be coming from gear box area .

that seems to run on for a split second, doesn't do it with clutch dipped.

car has done 35k every thing appears to be opperating ok perfomance etc, car is under warranty by nissan till xmas.

asked them a couple of months ago that changing gear was abit notchy, after checking they say no problem and gear oil like new. cars booked in for next week, i wonder wheather they will fob me off with a gearbox oil change. I have only done 3k in 9 months and this noise has just appeared

wonder wheather this is common fault or anyone can shed any light on this matter , so i have some amo to retaliate with.

    thanks in advance

  3. hey. you've got a 350 z, forget the' GT' bit.

the Bose system as every one knows ain't that great, the rays were an option on early cars. and lets face it every body's got there own ideas on wheels to make the car individual, who uses Cruise control these days with most roads grid locked !! electric /heated leather seats, this is probably the only item that most people want. so instead of re trimming your seats , buy 2nd hand and fit ,yes the heated part is going to be the problem. But the elctric part should be ok, and if not a auto electrician can easily find a fuesed power source .

seats can be sourced between £300-400.

as already stated cloth seats hold you better and are cooler in the summer etc, your z will also be quicker as the base model is lighter no electric seat motors and no sub

as they say there's an ASS for every seat, people who want the perfect car ie colour/alloys/leather / mileage/mint condition etc etc , will have along wait, for me it would be condition/ milage first the rest can be changed ie seats/hi fi/ wheels ;)

  4. I still havnt got mine to work either. Not that I have tried again since though.

I dont know if its something to do with me having a JDM as my immobiliser is a separate fob that I have to touch on the dash before starting the car. I can disable the immobiliser and then have power to the car but only when I turn the ignition to on and start the engine do I get power to my throttle controller.

I cant believe I have had this problem and so many other owners have not

Anyway if someone fixes this I would be very happy to give it another go when I have the time lol

Hi, guys. I bought my controller on the group buy from Jez , with no problems . custom fitted in my ash tray [so it's tucked away] complete job 45mins,

just a suggestion -when all connected up- have you turn the key to the position [dash lights on], that the next movement would be to turn over the engine, this will power up contoller so you can set up, once this is done turn the key to start up.

I had to look twice as it looked like you had to have the key on accessary position, but this won't power up controller.

    hope this helps.

  5. Yep, I got a great quote from them too.. can anyone confirm that National windscreens do a good job?

I mean Autoglass at £1200 seems way too expensive, but National Screens at £200 seems WAY too cheap. Too good to be true sorta thing

Had a new sceen fitted by National screen this evening, was a bit worried as the 2 guys said they had never fitted to a 350z.

And wished there boss had given them this job earlier in the day, but fair play to the chaps they done a good job [and i'm a fussy old git] they took there time and did'nt go charging in . first class

I asked how a company could do this for my £75 excess, they say sceens about £150. heavely discounted unlike autoglass.
