  1. Does anyone have a vin decode website they use that is good for this marque? I a now suspecting that items like reverse camera are standard fit?
  2. Hi, first post on here in about three years since selling our 350z (07) to beef up the deposit. Me and the now wife are very interested in a 370z (coupe) and after some thorough Google and forum searching (honestly) we still have some questions regarding the tech available on the 370z platform. Ideally, we want a car with: Bluetooth music streaming from iPhone (Spotify/Soundcloud etc) USB stick music playback A hard drive to save music to (assuming this from USB stick and CD) Decent graphical Sat Nav Reverse camera Full leather DAB Is there a particular model year we need to be considering here? We have no more than £20,000 to spend, and thus far, have found nothing matching this spec. I strongly suspect either some of this kit either doesn't exist, or I need to be looking at 2013 models perhaps?
  3. Apart from the states I cant find any. Do our Trader stock them and at how much? Also what prep is required. Have a few friends with carbon parts and I bought some for my old car (R1 bike engine Lotus 7 replica) and the quality was a mixed bag
  4. They look fab Wasso - although I cant help but think your wheel clour sets them off better than the standard rays finish. Are the "long" nuts or standard length?
  5. As per topic. I have seen some long style nuts on a Evo (blue on white wheels) and really liked it. Also seen multi coloured iridium style (think oil slick) which might blend with the brembos nicely?
  6. I used to service my bike engine track car and Audi A4 tdi myself (oil and filters) and used to put the receipt (for parts) in the log/service book along with my signature. However my 350Z has full Nissan History at present. What do you guys do as far as auditing the work you have completed in a fashion that is not a put off to prospective future buyers? I have a trade card for halfords so can buy premium oils very very cheap
  7. £5095 is the glass's guide trade value for you car and it's mileage
  8. Wouldnt cover the click under my after sales Nissan warranty (even after getting the Warranty company guy to visit the car) - however agreed to do a regrease and rotation for a competitive price. Work also needed on the Thrust Bearing and Clutch Nose Cone which is a mega job, and this is covered under Warranty which is good. I only asked for them to lube/grease the clutch pivot point as it felt like it had a little stiction! So, return the 370z loan car this week, and swap cars back aagin in a few weeks once the bearing kit arrives on back order from Japan.
  9. Yes -aware it will be a rotation and a regressed, but will query we guarantee length of repairs. On a more positive note I am hooning around in a 61 plate 370z gt coupe with synchro mode gear box!
  10. Dropping off my 2007 with extended Nissan warranty tomorrow at bromley Ancaster Nissan with Neil and Richard Coward (Top UK Z car and GT-R mechanic) Neil thinks it should be fine under the warranty and they have got others done, so fingers crossed all goes OK. Will keep you updated
  11. I am in exactly your position 45p per mile and drive 100 miles for work a week and I run a 2007 350z Go for it!
  12. YES!!! Mine are not that bad but could see them going int hat direction if they came on and off a few more times Any retailers able to supply anything a little stronger?
  13. No No, its the small tappered nuts that bolt the spacer to the OEM hub
  14. Hi All. I bought some MW Tech spacers but after having to remove them I found that the nuts provided are very soft and even when taking the greatest care, they started to round/peel. Can anyone suggest where I could get some hardened metal nuts from? They are tappered to fit flush with the spacer surface. Thanks
  15. Ok thanks - I am happy to travel to Tunbridge if it means I get a fair assesment etc. Just done the airbag in the car park at work. Will see how long it lasts.
  16. Hiall, I have a 2007 GT with Nissan Extended Warranty until end fo april 2012. I have the following issues. Diff/Drive shaft "click" when pulling away. Airbag Light flashing (have reset once before using the ignition key guides) but 2 weeks later its on Slight squeak and feel of resistance the the pivot of the clutch pedal when pushing down. Actual engagement is fine, probebly needs greasing etc. WLMG Nissan Shepperton want £90 to diag check and if its not covered I dont get my £90 refunded. PLUS - they cant tell me if the issue would even be covered until after the check and payment? My GT-R mate takes his GT-R to a speiclaist approved Nissan Garage in Bromley called Ancaster? Any reconmendations or pointers on this warranty?
  17. Actually seeing your username dave, I imagine you follow my director who is a big Spurs blogger (vik) lexus
  18. Ha ha that's me at work. I had to dive out to dash to Tesco opposite work. The car park was pretty much empty and I was gone for all of two minutes. At which point our marketing executive and my director both blocked me. I got out easy enough as they giggled in the bushes and gave them a show as cold tyres meet cold Tarmac with the ESP off!!! How did you get the photo as Carl (golf) just text me the same one
  19. My concern is that the bolts fitted to the spacers would effectively undo on their side as I tourque up the wheel bolt
  20. I have bought some me tech spacers. I'm Just not too sure how the fitted bolts are secured to the spacer. Just wanted to know if I need to tighten up the studs/bolts that are threaded into the spacer before fitting to the hub? I am not sure how tight they are or if they are locked in in anyway? Don't want the spacers bolt to spin loose/foreveras I tighten up the wheel nut??? Reason I ask is that they look like normal high strength bolts that arent locked in to position in anyway, only screwed in. Probably me just over analysing as normal lol
  21. Welcome. I'm in surbiton and work in weybridge
  22. Really liek them - somehow dont look Chavvy at all When from buddy?
  23. I have done a fair few searches but nothing could tell me the exact bulb code type needed (501 etc). I would like to put super bright white number plate bulbs (LED) in the rear and also change my side lights (early NON bonnet buldge 2007 car) to some brighter units. So - wat bulbs are needed where and Is there a guide to show how to fit?
  24. Bump. I have a squeak on the clutch mid travel which feels and sounds like the pivot point
  25. I had one for a half day test drive when looking at the 350. last thing I wanted to do was buy a 350 and wish I had the 370. For the money (low £10k vs just under £20k) I dont think it is worth it. Yes the syling is nice, but not radical enough for me to set the car alight. it feels bigger inside (coupe vs coupe) but is certainly less sound proofed. My main gripe was the auto flappy box. I had (a the same time) a bike engined Lotus 7 car with 6 speed paddle sequential so very use to clutchless up changes etc. yes the 370 box was quick to react, but I was not sold at all on the down shifts. I went from 5 to third in manual mode. However two tocues ont he paddle took me from 5th to a very streched 2nd gear ith heavy heavy braking and the back trying to come out (in a straight line no sterring)!!! The box did additional down shifts in addition to my input which I hated. The sales man stated that you dont need to use the flappy box when going down the gears. Sow hats the point in it then I asked. Overal I could not justify the 80% premium the car demands - unless I'm not paying lol
