Zman, thanks for reply. Im hoping it is a wheel bearing but in the past when these have gone on other cars its been much more noticable when cornering and a different type of noise. I certainly hope that its a wheel bearing and not a dieing diff!

Im looking for another set of alloys, mine need refurbing so just need something to use while my Rays are off the car. Also my back box has a hole near the flange. Quite enjoyed the fruity noise its been making but its starting to sound like metro with Peco big bore! Dont really want anything too noisy, k2 or something would be ok. Open to ideas or what ever you have. Thanks

I have an annyoing whining from the rear of the car which i suspect is either the gearbox or diff. It seems to be most noticeable around 40mph , is unrelated to the gear im in (i can cost with the clutch in and the noise is still there) and seems to increase with the speed rather than the engine revs. I might be paranoid but im sure its getting loader slowly. I'll prob get it to the dealers in the next week or so to have it looked at but wondered if anyone else had anything similar on their car at any point? I know theres not much sound proofing in these things so thought it may be normal ...?

I didnt really notice it much when I first bought the car, (august last year) but over the winter ive noticed that when i first start the car in a morning to go to work or on an evening to drive home from work when its been stood, the engine immediatley revs to over 2000rpm, almost like ive started it with the accelerator pressed to the floor. I've never had any other cars that do this and scares me to death half the time, esp when its been freezing over night and the oils thck etc.. Does anyone have this with their 350? is it by design? Hoefully someone can put my mind at rest or tell me how to fix it. I'm expecting see a piston being fired through the bonnet every time i turn the key!

Now the weathers getting better im going to make time to polish the Zed properly. I had it machined polished and detailed before the winter so hopefully a good hand polish is all thats needed but just wondering if anyone has used the purple haze Dodo Juice on a black Zed and what the results were like? I dont want to be polishing it every week so im looking for something that lasts a while aswell as giving itg a decent shine..!

Hi Dave, Is the back box a k2? or just the standard stainless replacement? Either way i'm intrested. I may be able collect depending on where you are ? Thanks
