  1. Awesome :)

Cheeky I know but do you have a wiring schema to do the diming and alike? What did you tap into in the end for the power?

no i dont have any wiring diagrams as did it all as i went along im afraid. I grabbed a power feed from the back of the radio and ran the cable back up past the fuse box and ABS unit. Not what i wanted to do but couldnt find an ignition live under the bonnet

  2. They look fantastic, truly professional.

So the big question is: When will you be making and selling them as kits?

haha i hadnt really thought about making kits up really. It wasnt the cheapest mod as i had to buy the clear facelift reflectors, the wiring/relay/fuse parts, a switch, the LED's, plus all the wires and trunking for the installation...

i have flush fitted a cut off switch under the bonnet by the brake fluid reservior as well which is pretty cool. will get a pic up of that later...

  3. Finally finished my daytime running light project! Made these up from scratch with a set of clear reflectors, some LED strips and a few wires/relays :) Sorry for all the pics!

  4. you will! Ive made up a separate wiring loom that ive linked into the main harness as it runs through the brake fluid reservoir. Its made up of a relay, resistors and a manual override switch. Just need to connect in my sidelight/headlight feed depending on how i want the DRLs to function and connect the ignition live :)

  5. Jol3ly, are they the reflector LED mod or the actual DRL's that Phillips and alike are selling that you fit to the bumper?

    This might help..

    Full service manual from 2003-2008

You want the second link as the top is the owners.. It works I've just downloaded it on my iPhone so I know it's kosher. Comes through as a zip file then you just need to unzip it and walla.. Every section is there ;)

thanks mate, useful link to have! it downloaded in separate PDF folders on my pc though so thats a bit annoying... :(

ive made up some DRLs of my own rather than buying the propper ones. not really a cheaper option but look allot better i think

  6. Cheers Phil, will this switch fit in the blank spot by the heated seats? Or somewhere else?

I bloody hope so, :-0 Not had chance to check as I can't find my spare heater control.. But if not its a standard rocker switch so you can buy loads of different housing set ups from most electrical places.. Bit of trimming with a knife and bobs your uncle ;)

cool, if it does can you let me know and il order one up too :) if not il just tuck a switch out the way somewhere else...
