I like the way it says 'RARE!' in title.
Yes, it's rare, but that's because it's stupendously ugly.
It would suit me then!

Which forum? I love a good horses rant, I let people think I know nothing about them first though, just so when I lay the hammer down they feel extra stupid
Ok thor
Best thing you've ever called me
Was it GQ or another mag that he got voted sexiest man in the world 2014?
I bet the hammer makes panties fall off too.

Wendy, it is silly being jealous of other people's possessions isn't it? I would love a really expensive car myself but I can't find it in me to be jealous of those who have worked hard and managed to buy themselves one.
Did you mean to post that on the other forum to Wendy?

Evo magazine have spoken highly of their long termer. I personally think it looks great & I would imagine it will be fairly reliable too.
Worth a look 4 sure.

Me either lol.Go drive it. I couldn't deal with the guilt if you just went for one and didn't like it!
I did think about remap but not sure what they'd do if they found out.

My 1.4 'rocco was brilliant, great seats, nice interior, decent kit. The only mechanical problem I had was that the car developed a noise which can only be described as the sort of noise you would get if you "stuck a cartoon guinea pig under the throttle and pressed it just hard enough to make it squeak without hurting it"
Apparently it is a design issue and you have to listen deliberately to hear it but by all accounts on the forum lots of owners experienced it.
Otherwise quick car for a 1.4 litre, decent mpg if driven easy as well. You could always stick a sneaky map on it if you are feeling naughty and want some more horses...although the response is pretty sharp as is.
In terms of mechanical issues, all cars have them, the ones on the 'rocco are relatively minor in comparison to lots of other cars from what I saw when I checked.
So now I've got to go test drive a 1.4! I've almost test driven as many cars as I've owned in my life over the last month. Or I could just take your word for it CD and have done with.

This is the reason i always service it myself. i get to pull my own pants down

I had a friend with the 1.4 twin charged engine ibiza bocanegra (same engine i believe) and he had no end of problems.
He had at one point two engine replacements and that was all in the first 11 months of brand new ownership.
Said terrible customer service from seat aswell.
oh dear!
they do get good write ups though!

Does it make fake engine noises like other vw with that engine
lol, I haven't got a clue! I've not driven the 1.4, have driven the 2ltr petrol & diesel and they both sounded fine to me.
-
1.4 'rocco is 280 per month over 4 yrs, only fractionally slower then the 2.0.
That is 4 yrs though and wasnt that keen on keeping it for that long.
Apparently the 1.4 is turbo and supercharged, zoom, zoom, oh wait thats mazda's catch phrase.

Just drove this, lovely and comfy but a bit of a barge and zero boot space:
I had a look at those, nice but nothing too exciting.
Have you looked at Volvos, S40 S60 etc
What you need is a exeo wagon.
I think you're banned from suggesting cars on this thread now
What you need is a exeo wagon.
Steve - Did I say I would look at those, was tipsy when I commented on FB.
Dave- no perhaps it's childish but I cant bring myself to be a volvo driver, just like I could drive a beemer and look like a cant.
Dan- I'm getting close to asking the mods to give him a warning point

That's ballistic!
