Hi all.
I have a Polished Ali gearknob for sale, bought this from KTA and used for about a week while my stock knob was being freshened up.
It's a really nice gearknob, quite a weight too! The 350z logo on the side has a little shadowing from the lazer etching (look at the first pic) but really awesome bit of kit!
£40.00 inc postage please (UK mainland).
One fitted
Please contact me for payment details, collection welcome too.
Thanks for looking! Shout if you have any questions.

Hi and welcome nice z
-
Hi
Well it has dropped a bit, I had 35mpg doing all motorway miles but since doing everyday driving to and from work, pootling around, its sitting around 25mpg not budging one way of the other much, so pretty happy with that to be honest
-
Oh go on then, excuse the state of the Z....
-
Come on mines fitted, chop chop!
-
Just got this through the post
Many thanks!

Yes that's the same procedure I used.

Hi guys,
The car is just stock performance wise at the moment, I used the Engine / ECU reset (using the key and the accelerator pedal etc, and pulled the power at the battery (as I've put a new one in ready for winter).
Hoovering the car out today I did find a petrol receipt (along with other things) under the drivers seat, looks like the last owner had filled it up on standard rather than super unleaded (although i've put a tank of shell optimax through it since), so I'm guessing that will have been why it didn't feel as pokey?
I'll see how it goes looking forward to putting some miles on her this weekend.

Hi all
This could just be an oddity but, since I bought it, the car has always pulled like a train lower down the rev range, mid range was good but the top end felt really flat and a little gutless, my mpg was around 18-20 (not that it bothers me, my last car did anywhere from 9-20).
I changed the air filter, oil and sparkies but that made little difference, so I wondered if the ECU was pulling the timing for some reason? Well after a quick ECU reset, I've put a few miles on it and really happy to say that its made a big difference higher on up the rev range, she seems to pull nice and strong all the way to the redline BUT the big supprise is my mpg has gone up massively!! I'm now getting an average of 25-27mpg, instead of the 18-20!
Does anyone know why this would be, or is it just a coincidence the mpg has gone up so much?
I have to say the first few weeks of ownership have been awesome, puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key
Regards
Matt

Welcome to the forum buddy
Don't tempt me, I've already spent my salary twice over in my head looking at shiney things on here so I suspect it'll not be long before you hear from me!

Hi, yeah only about 20 minutes away from me, are there many meets round here?
Used to enjoy meets with Hampshirejapcars and a few other clubs.

and dont buy cars from Fawley area...the paints always very rough
+1
I did a spot of fire fighting there a few years back on the refinery
Oddly i live near Lyndhurst about 14 miles from Fawley, but i got my 350 froma guy in Canvey island, Essex
They are tiny, but it'll bug me if I don't get them off, I tried picking them off with a finger nail but they're welded on there, I'll see how I get on with the abve bits and bobs, thanks people!

That Iron x looks good spot on, I'll try that first and then attack it with a more butch clay bar if that doesn't shift it, that'll teach me for buying a car near an oil refinery!
-
^^^ Loving the orange, that body kit looks evil!
-
Hi
Been using a meguires clay bar today, I've used these bars for a few years now with the speed detailer and always got good results before but it doesn't seem to want to shift some of the smaller particles on the z's paint for love nor money. I spent hours today going over and over the same panels without any joy, the little black flecks (that look like brake dust) usually get smaller, smudge and then eventually disappear but I cant shift them, I tried using paint cleaner and a polish on them without results, does ayone have an idea what else I could try please?

Yep, dealer in Southampton for the plugs, £15 something each plus VAT, the cars only done 38k but is six years old so want to treat it
Thanks EH 370z, will have a look once I've got a few more posts under my belt, ZMANALEX also.

Thanks guys thanks for the warm welcome, had ths morning off so was off to the local dealer to pick up some new parts, she's now got fresh oil, filter and air filter, so much easier to work on than my old car (Toyota MR2 turbo) only took a half hour to change the oil etc. Nearly passed out at the cost quoted for spark plugs so will have to shop around for those (£115.00+VAT... er really??), and who the heck designed the oil dipstick on these things
Bournemouth meet this weekend - 02/10/11
