Hi
Are the skirts likely to go??
-
Hi
It's:
http://www.cadnamgarage.gbr.cc/80100/info.php?p=2
They work on quite a few unusual/performance cars, a couple of the hapshire jap car club use them too I believe, always seem to be Subaru's and Nissan S14 / 15s around, when I had an issue with my last car ( my clutch turned it's self into very small pieces) I literally broke down outside, the manager took my car in, diagnosed the problem (and quite a few others I was compleately unaware of), and stored the car for me in the workshop overnight till it could be low loadered off in the morning, and wouldn't accept a penny for it!
I'm going to be booking the Z in for new rear drop links, and a brake fluid change shortly so will let you know how the Z fares there

Hi and welcome,
I found westway pretty helpfull too, treat your z to a new panel filter they sell them (and oil filters etc) for a few quid each! Where abouts are you? There's a good garage in cadnam if you Southampton way.

So has an offer been accepted on these then, or are the skirts and rear still available?
-
So did anyone take you up on a special deal for these yet????

How many miles has the popcharger done chap?
-
I did the b pillars and interior passenger grab handle.
I tried to do the wing mirrors but that went hideously wrong, the vinyl just wasn't very sticky
Going to attempt the roof next, I like flat surfaces.

One thing to think about if this is fun car, is how you like your power delivery. Having gone from a 400+bhp rear wheel drive car, to a Focus ST and now the 350z, I find the Z has a really smooth power delivery which can be a little deceptive, it doesnt feel as fast as it is, it's quite linear in its power delivery. If you want something that will thump you in the back and "feel" fast, you'd be better off with something rear wheel drive that has a turbo, plus you have the benefit that these tend very very easy to tune for the most part with minimal outlay.
At home we now have the Z and a Seat Leon Cupra R, I can honestly say the both of these cars are very good, neither has a massive advantage in terms of outright speed, but they are massively different in the way they drive, the Cupra and the ST are great front wheel drive scrabble wagons, but you feel like your driving an excitable puppy that's always straining on its leash yapping all the time, the Z is far more composed, it'll do everything the ST and Cupra can (and some) but with much less dramma, although like any big dog if you poke it with a stick, it'll still bite you
Personally I think the Z looks better than any hot hatch ever could, it sounds better, and it's a much nicer place to be than most of the cars I've ever owned or driven, it may not be the fastest car ever built, but it makes me smile every single time I turn the key.
I get to choose which keys to pick up every morning, and eight times out of ten I pick up the Z keys (the other times I'm half asleep and pick up the wrong ones...).

Awesome guide, inspired me to wrap some bits today, going to try the roof next

The guy with the amuse style wing isn't far from me, but is this missing mounts??
The concave bottom to the support legs look too deep / curved to mount to the bootlid??
-
Cheers buster that's spot on

Hi
I shall try and make it on Sunday assuming I've mastered driving it by then!
As a fairly new owner these are so much fun to drive! Turn off traction controll, drive it like a go-cart and grin like a fool
