Although Samsung label the model as a 'full hd 3d' set, it's actually only half that. It's 1080p when watching 2d, but 540p when watching 3d. This will be the reason for the picture differences you've mentioned. 2d hd does look great on that set though.
And yes, peel off the film on the glasses. It's just to protect them from scratches before it reaches the consumer.

What a coincidence. My airbag warning light came on as I was driving home today.
And before anyone asks, no, I didn't crash!

Here's a pic of Gloria helping me fix the Datsun. It was taken a couple of years ago before her accident. She was run over last year and now only has one eye. She's still cute though.

That was great fun Martin. Thanks

Dalos 3d active as its ment to be a better image than passive.
I'll concede that for the most active gives a better picture than passive (or Cinema 3D as its marketed as because passive sounds negative), but when you take into consideration the flicker and crosstalk problems active has, then Cinema 3D might well be a better option overall.
Add to that the fact that Cinema glasses are dirt cheap (literally pennies as apposed to about £50+ per pair), lightweight, don't require batteries (that could run out at an inconvenient time), or could go faulty (something I've seen a number of times with active glasses).
Another cool feature (which the Philips I linked to has) is that if you're a gamer, then you can get a pair of 'all left' glasses and a pair of 'all right' glasses and play a two player game on the same screen at the same time, but each player viewing a FULL screen!
There has also been talk of using the same tech to watch two programmes at the same time full screen, but that needs things like the sound sorting and twin tuners, so maybe something for future models. I'd love that, me watching the BTCC and the missus watching the Eastenders omnibus. Both in peace
Take those points on board, but try them both.

I think its page 7 on the thread for that show, 2010 and near where I was today.
Yep, I think I was right then.

I don't know if this has posted on here before (I had a quick look), but these are pretty cool.
I wish there was a 350z version, but I might get a blue one of these as to the untrained eye it could be mistaken for a 350

Clue 10 posted.
IMHO Zclub members are at an advantage on this one .... oh well
I don't know about that. I'm struggling with that one, and the best guess I have I got from over here.
I can't find any mention of a hotel on either site linked with 'the French emblem'

I'm not all that bothered about 3D myself, but I have to say that when I had a go at Gran Tourismo 5 in 3D it was fantastic. Also, *cough* adult films are, shall I say, interesting!

So they are investigating the M5 motorway crash and think smoke from a fireworks display is to blame.....
Sorry, this maybe didn't help but if the cars were driving at an appropriate speed for the smoke and at a safe distance then surely this would never have happened?
If it was the smoke from fireworks it wouldn't have been a mile thick so you can't blame people not driving at an inappropriate speed. Maybe it was people slowing down suddenly after hitting a surprise section of smoke and a concertina affect happened with some not slowing as much as the traffic in front? You wouldn't see smoke at night until you are right up to it.

My Dad bought a Phillips 3D TV about 8 months ago.......
In my opinion Philips produce the best 3D LEDs at the moment, but a 47" is slightly over the OP's budget.

So why active 3D over passive?

After getting stuck on the inlaws estate last year (the last place you'd want to be stuck
), I decided to buy a set to stick in the boot just in case. It could well be the best £35 I ever spend.

I guess I had the opposite last week at the petrol station. When I went in to pay, the lady attendant remarked in a slightly disparaging way "good grief, £95 to fill a Nissan!"

Thanks to everyone involved today, it was a great day out and lovely to meet you all. And brilliant weather for mid October too I might add!
I hope everyone's drive home was more fun than mine; the A1 was dull, and the lines behind all of the caravans were just too long to overtake.
I made it just before kick off though.
Should've gone the A696 - I was back in Newcastle for 330pm!
And I left before you too. Typical

Lesson No1 - never use the A1 to get through the Borders
Haha, yeah, too true.

There are loads more than 20
I think I need some forum business cards to put in customer cars @ Falcon to recruit more North East members
Ah, is Falcon yours?
I bought my 350 from a young lad in the Teesside area April gone, and the car had not long had it's P3 done at Falcon.

Well I'm going to the Newcastle match too, but as it doesn't start 'til four o'clock I'll try and tag along for the drive up. Don't put my name down for food, as I'll just peel off and head back for the kick off when the time comes. I reckon there should be just enough time for me to reach Coldstream with you though

How about paying homage to the 240Z with a nice 70's Nissan colour?
Here's a link to the paint codes and examples.
I think a 350 would look really good in 112 yellow.
Or the 305 light blue metallic?

I'm in too.

What about Car & Bike Magic in Sunderland? I haven't used them myself but they often get recommended. They have a fab 240Z there, and the guy is a member on the ZClub.

Here are five random ones that haven't been mentioned (iPhone).
For watching TV, FilmOn Plus is excellent.
For fun panoramic photos, 360.
For the weekend's goal highlights shortly after they have been scored, ESPN Goals.
For recording yourself (or your other half) sleep talking, or possibly some other use
, Sleep Talk.
For very un-pc, sick and bad taste jokes, Sickipedia.
Oh, and I'll just add Shell Station Locator for when you need some V Power in a strange part of the country.
