    Stillen/Nismo Y Pipe only for my 370z

    Hi all,

     

    Not got the cash for a full system, but would like to replace the Y pipe due to a number of people on the forum saying this is the most restictive part of the system ...

     

    I know you will all say, save until you can buy the whole system :bangin: but just on the off chance someone has one :p

    Ok, scanning :D through the 370 forum across the pond, there is quite allot of positive chat about fitting a sprint booster to the 370, and indeed the 350 I guess..

     

    Anyway ... I fully understand :wacko: it does not increase the power but merely sharpens up the drive by wire throttle signal, but does it really make that much of a difference :drive1 ???

     

    Could this tweak be incorporated into an uprev ??

    HFCs on their own - why???

    HFCs with standard exhaust will just give you a slightly louder, rought/raspier kind of noise. It wont really sing like one with an aftermarket exhuast and HFCs, nor will it give you any more power.

     

    In the manifold > cats > y-pipe > exhaust chain its the Y-pipe w/secondary cats that strangle the system, not the cats. Once you have removed that (with an aftermarket Y-pipe), then the next restriction is the cats, but not by much.

     

    So in terms of noise, you will get a little, but not as nice (IMO) as an aftermarket exhaust, nor will you get any extra power. However if you are looking to get an exhaust and remap later then they will be worthwhile to get them now if thats what you want :thumbs:

     

    So would it be fair to say that we should consider an after Market Y pipe before even the HFC's then? Eg for those of us on a budget do the Y pipe first, then HFC's and then exhaust??

    Would be good to confirm it all works OK before buying ... I'll drop the guy on ebay a message, see if he knows

    Hi all,

     

    Noticed reading the US version of the manual that on the multi function control panel under settings there is a comfort menu that allows you to change settings like

     

    Auto interior Illumination

    Auto Lights sensitivity

    Lights off delay

    Selective Door unlock

    etc

     

    Have looked on my UK 370z and this menu option does not exist.

     

    Do you know if any of these setting can be changed on the UK model another way ??

    Hi Guys,

     

    Just signed agreement on a 370z GT roadster in Black Rose, pick it up next saturday...

     

    As a previous owner of the 350z I swear by the pop charger and grounding kit which i fitted.

     

    I notice there is a pop charger kits for the 370, but who in the UK can supply it (before next Saturday :-)))

     

    Also where can I get a grounding kit from in the UK ?
