  1. Thought I recognised the Zed when reading this thread, met you off the EuroTunnel on the 2nd of July, hope your trip was good mate!
  2. Correct, power to weight ratio of a modified Glanza's can be scary quick. My mate's weigh's 900kg ish at the mo, 215 brake ish not disimilar to CMR's spec, he is however looking to making a few new mod's including a TD05 turbo, pushing 300 brake.
  3. Few pictures, I have loads more to take off my mates camera, I can take off the one's of the Zed if anyone is interested.
  4. So, just got back after a drive from Paris last night (to Stirling in Scotland) wow.. I'll post a good number of pics up later today hopefully then more of the HD one's when I get them off my mates camera in the next couple of days. Big difference yesterday - driving wet in France to Eurotunnel - little traction equalling Zed no likely compared to treacherous England with pools of water on the motorways and visibility of around 10m - scary times but the Zed handled much, much better. Coarser roads?
  5. The Glanza is totally fine apart from a small boost leak ( nothing a bit of duck tape won't fix), no ordinary Glanza though, Glanza V as fast as my Zed tbf.
  6. So, half way through lads. In my hotel in Monte Carlo, night in for a big drive tomorrow hence the browsing / masterbation. Two Zeds spotted thus far, 2nd July straight off the EuroTunnel and met a Asian chap with a clone of my Blade Silver (with a few mods Carbon fiber bonnet, skirts) & a red 370 on the way to the Swiss Alps who gave me a flash and a wave. The looks the Z gets abroad are amazing, one guy in Italy yesterday told me "you just don't see car's like this here". She is eating up the miles and running like the beast she is, 2500 miles done and loads of pictures to show you guys when I return to the UK.
  7. Go tomorrow lads, needless to say I am dammmmn exicited, shall let you know how I get on in a couple of weeks plus pictures of the Zed landscaping some of the world's best roads!
  8. Count me in, one of the major reasons I joined the forum!
  9. Sorry for being a thicko guys but when fitting these, are you disconnecting the negative from the battery as to not blow the BCM? Or is it as simple as changing over the rear reg plate lights which I done myself recently (straight swap)?
  10. How do I get in touch with said man?
  11. So it'd be a nice oil change before I go you'd suggest?
  12. Ok, as some of you may know I'm starting a 5,500 mile European round trip starting next week, I've bought 4L Castrol 5W/30 fully synthetic to see me through. The Zed has been running on part all her days as far as I'm aware (bought her at 60k), the car has just been serviced with a part synthetic oil change, should I bother changing the oil again for the trip to run it on fully or just top the part up after a few thousand miles whilst out there with the fully? Would it matter either way?
  13. Carbon silver possibly, went by at the corner of my eye giving me a blast of the horn, hope you heard my blast of recognition!! 5PM ish.
  14. Welcome mate, live the dream.
  15. Thanks for the advice, don't know if I'm confident enough with your suggestion so may as well go with the 78, cheers lad.
  16. Yeah mate, my friends reckon I'm daft even bothering about it, but as you will know when you have such a nice car it's hard not to bother.
  17. I've recieved a quote of £78 to fix both profressionally.. good deal?
  18. Carbon fiber would look stupid on my blade silver, although that kind of thing would be a decent option, would a touch up spray or something not work?
  19. Whats the story mate, have you won the Euromillions? Robbed a bank?!
  20. What about Monaco? Any ideas? Tax free petrol? Andorra?
  21. Why is Livigno tax free, even though its Italian soil? Are we talking about much cheaper per litre? Not that I'm complaining! The French Alps route is the exact one I have planned! I've no idea why Livigno is a tax haven but it is! I think I paid about 70 pence a litre or so last year. Clothes and booze are cheap too! And if you're coming from the north you'll go through an amazing 2k long single track tunnel through the mountains up to a huge lake. Head down the south side of the route de bonette and stop at St Etienne de Tinee. There's a cafe in the village square. Mention to the Patron that you've just done the Bonette and he may give you a decal as a momento, he gives them to all the bikers usually. Thats scary cheap, I don't see him being too chuffed about decaling 4 cars! If anyone else knows of any other mega cheap petrol areas feel free to share!?
  22. Thought of that think we miss it by a couple of days either way, thank godness!!
  23. I bought my Zed about 2 weeks ago, everything perfect, only imperfection was a scuff mark on either wing mirror, do you guys know anything that I could go out touching this up nicely? If it costs monies then so be it but cheaper DIY methods the better, heres what I'm dealing with.
