Hey finally replaced my 350z that met its bitter end on the M6 a few years ago
Had a look at a few 370z but wasn't really blown away..
Until I saw a nismo model and then my heart was set haha.
So after the longest three months ever it finally arrived this week.
Safe to say I'm over the moon with it
I had it done by a friend of a friend, he's not a business as such as he doesn't advertise. He's quite reknown around here as being brilliant and gets his work mostly through garages coming to him.
I wouldn't like to say exactly how much, as he's done it me far too cheap. I gave him a bit more than what he asked me for doing it as I'm absolutely delighted with it. But if I said circa a grand it's not far off.
I'll get some more clearer photo's today and some before and afters for comparison
Picked her up from respray today
Im absolutly delighted with it, it looks better than brand new. Big thanks to kev with the beard (thats all I know him as) for doing a absolutly superb job and bringing back to life this awesome car.
Also special mention to cougar store for supplying the spacers/camber kit, i ordered them at dinner yesturday and they this morning!
Right im off to go sit in the garage and stare for a while
Hi guys just a quick query. How much would it cost roughly for a 4 way wheel alignment on a 350z? The cars currently been lowered 30mm on eibach springs and has eibach rear adjustable camber arms and larger offset toe bolts to bring the alignment back into tolerance, just needs setting up. Cheers.
Quick update on this...
I finally pulled my thumb out over the last month and put a considerable amount of effort (and money) into repairing the zed and putting it back on the road.
Passed its mot yesterday with flying colours and feels great!
Getting full wheel alignment done next week and treating it to a full detail
I remember a member of the forum was making carbon covers for the front lip but I can't remember who it was..are they still active? Wouldn't mind purchasing one
I recently saw a v8v for sale, 2005 plate, 40,000miles, manual, full dealer history ect
£27k :o
Makes you wonder what kind of mental buys a brand new Aston, but I salute those who do!
One car I hope to own one day.
Yeah im not holding out much hope at coming across a pair thought i'd give it a punt though!
CS, is that price per side or for a pair?
Sure i looked on your site not pong ago and it said price for one kit?
As you can see i've made abit of a howler soourcing a secondhand lower control arm.
Apart from the forging number look at the difference in spotface height above the balljoint taper.
This causes not enough thread from the balljoint from the upright to go through the taper and put a split pin in.
Taking a few crude measurements im pretty sure the arms are identical apart from this.
Now my plan is to take in into work on monday and re-machine the spotface identical to the old arm.
Just wondering if anyone can confirm the balljoint tapers are the same? I can only measure across the top and bottom and they seem the same but I cant measure accuratly at home.
