Sorry folks not going to be able to make it tonight, have been landed with a sales call to the US this evening
-
Received the Aerokit side steps on Tuesday and will be trial fitted on Saturday this week whilst getting the minor repairs done to the front lip, the side steps will then be painted next week and fitted next Saturday. All I need to do then is scrape the money together to get the rear bumper which hopefully I should be able to achieve by the end of the year.

Congratulations mate, know how you feel as have just been offered a new job myself which have accepted
-
Nothing listed on their site for the 370Z, although they do suggest that they can design anything you need but would imagine that would be mega bucks for any one offs
-
Okay so quick update, and not one for making snap judgements, have decided to go with Option 1 above, have ordered myself up a set of the Aerokit Spec-R2 side skirts (thanks again Buster for the link) which are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. My aim once again will be to have these colour coded, and if the bodyshop is amendable I may see if i can get these fitted this week also. As always pics will follow. Rear bumper will follow next year

Cheers, ended up going back to Simon's Exhausts to use his guy to paint and fit, will be back this Sat to get the ends that have cracked filled and painted and then next on the agenda is the side skirts with rear bumper likely to follow early next year

Was heading back home after getting the front splitter fitted
-
Not sure tbh, am in two minds as to what I would like to do but my current thoughts are as follows.
Option 1: Aerokit spec r2 side steps, as Buster kindly pointed out above, and Chargespeed rear end (most likely Taras replica)
or
Option 2: Nismo V3 front bumper and sides along with the Chargespeed rear
I still have to reach an ultimate decision on whether am going to fully go down this route as the Z has been my first foray into car modding
-
Well done mate, glad it all worked out for you yesterday
-
looks good
Cheers, can I ask which side skirts it is you have and do you know if they are still available, as really like the look of them on your Z

Didn't quite go as smoothly as hoped and will have to go back next weekend to get some minor repairs done, as the bit the wraps around into the wheel arch cracked on both sides when trying to fit. Despite this am happy with end result as know I'll get the wee bits sorted next week and was only charged £80 for the work. The paint match is surprisingly good given that it was done with paint code only.
Few pics of it as is now:

Picked up a Chargespeed front lip off ebay a while back and am getting it fitted tomorrow. The item was damaged with a big split in the middle along with various scrapes so picked up relatively cheaply. Have had a local bodyshop repair the lip and have decided to have it colour coded. Link to the original ebay listing is below and will post up pictures of the end result.

Was that you heading in the opposite direction on Hamilton Rd (A725) last Saturday morning, nice looking car for all of the brief second that i saw you.
-
Good tires, as other have said very well planted, however my rears only lasted 7,500 miles
-
I should be able to make it along, although depends whether work throws up any evening calls to the US, will confirm closer to the time

If no trim removal tool a flat head screw driver to carefully remove, or best bet just by some replacement clips (I was fortunate in that the Alu kickplates came with new clips as even with trim removal tool I still managed to break one of the clips)

Great new look

The P3 service pack was purchased from Mr. Thoms (zmanalex) and covered everything.
Included in the pack was:

6 sp Genuine Nissan Manual Gearbox fluid
60ml DC Molyslip for Gearbox
Diff. fluid (Viscous) VLSD Genuine Nissan
PAS fluid Genuine Nissan
Clutch fluid
Oil filter Genuine Nissan (White)
Crush washer
Denso Iridium Spark Plugs
HR Gates Belt
Pre mix Genuine Nissan Coolant: 2 x 5Lt
The guys also kindly fitted for me the following:

Quick pic of the new front end although will provide another after next week as have another addition in prep at this moment in time.

I had a 2005 A6 SE 3.0TDI Quattro prior to having the zed, purchased second hand in 2009 for around the 15k mark, was traded in against the Z in April of last year. Was the saloon version, great car but obviously totally different kettle of fish from the Z. Effortless motorway crunching and an extremely nice place to sit, very comfortable also. Plenty of space for 5 adults to sit comfortably and enough space in the boot for another two, maybe three in the case of the Avant (only tried once), but used to be able to get all our band gear in the boot when travelling to gigs etc
Only problem I encountered in just less than 3 years of ownership was both front wheel bearings but apart from that not a single other issue, and maintained on 20,000 mile service interval.
I really liked my A6 and if I'm ever in the position to require a large saloon again the A6 will be top of my list.

Thanks folks, gives me a couple of places to start off with requesting quotes.

Hey All,
Does anyone have any recommendations for a bodyshop in Glasgow/Central Scotland?
Front end needs a respray to get rid of road rash but have also just acquired an item off ebay that requires some minor repair/painting before being fitted.
Many thanks in advance.

but what wheels are those
Nessen Forged if i remember correctly from reading the article

Have just pre-ordered one with Carphone Warehouse, deposit of £29 refundable upon completion of order however in my case it will come off what I'll be paying as will be remaining on my current contract terms.

rear bumper looks a bit strange in the first shot, but the face on from the back looks okay to me. $1,806.00 for the front and rear bumpers only from VIS racing
If you had £35,000 to spend on a car, what would you choose?

Noble M12 GTO would be in my list for consideration
