What's the best way of driving the car for stop/start round town driving then? Without piddling petrol out the rear end!
-
Stuart Lea saw his annual motor insurance premium with Direct Line jump from £800 to £1,100 when it came up for renewal this year.
Mr Lea shopped around for a better deal using comparison website Moneysupermarket, securing an annual policy for £670 from Admiral.
So basically insurers are doing what they always do with renewals and try to screw you over but you can save if you actually put the effort into looking elsewhere

Cheers rancer! Will try and wash my shed Fiesta tonight for the first time in 18 months as a tester!

Picked up a zed on Saturday
Love it so far and I've hardly been able to drive it, drives great, sounds great with a Japspeed K2 and Y pipe on it and it's in really really good condition.
Bought it from a forum member on here, webber. Kept it very nice and tidy for me! I'll get some photos up of it as soon as I can, just need to get used to changing gears without jerking everywhere!

What a chump I am. Bought the fittings for the tap and pressure washer but was connecting straight hose. Bought some brass fittings to the hose and works now.
Just so I'm not being thick, quite probably:
Plug everything in.
Turn tap on, a bit? a lot?
Turn pressure washer on
Spray away
When you're not spraying should water be coming out of the hose where it connects to the tap and pressure washer?
Thanks

First pressure washer I've had but how the heck do you get the hoses to stay on? Soon as I turn the outdoor tap on and turn the washer on and pull the trigger the hose just pops off one or both ends.
The hose is connected to a pair of threaded connectors that were a struggle to get into the hose but popped off in no time!

Will this work in conjuction with the Bose headunit? I want to keep bluetooth for my iPhone and be able to use the steering wheel controls if possible.
And will it work with an aftermarket headunit, same things about bluetooth?

My mods (exhaust, wheel spacers) add an extra £30 and my 3 points an extra £100
£100?! My 3 points for stopping near a pedestrian crossing (PC30) increase my insurance quotes on a zed by £600. ALl I did was stop to let my girlfriend put something in the frigging post box in 2008

Looks good so far! Will be putting an order in for one of these or nurrish's one in a few weeks if this one's finished!

The white brings out her tan, works well. Not sure about the fur coat though

Happy day today! I've wanted a 350 for years and finally got me an 07 GT in midnight Blue!
I've a long one week wait to pick it up, but until then I'll be a wound up spring
Nice to meet you all!
Was it the one over on **REMOVED**? Looks nice if it is
-
Jealous! I was out today when they attempted delivery. Will have to wait until Saturday to pick it up but I'm not getting my zed until 30th so no biggie!
-
Found one! Paid the deposit a week ago and have to wait until 30th to collect it.
Think I'm going to burst with excitement and I'm already thinking of all the things I want to do to the car before I've even got it
-
Awesome colour combo! Bet it looks even better in the flesh!
-
Mine should be here tomorrow or Wednesday! Just need to get a lance ordered and some Magifoam.
-
Will watch it later but this is exactly what I was looking for for when I get my zed on the 30th!
-
Definitely wasn't expecting that kind of result! Know a few Bolton fans that went down, gutted for them, wanted Bolton to go through instead if the thugs
-
I had a quote waiting on Admiral for a few weeks until I go pickup my zed and overnight, without any changes, it went up £300. Phoned them up and they're looking into it but I went on today and it's gone back down?! Crazy!
I forgot to add my PC30 "conviction" (stopping too close to a pedestrian crossing to let my girlfriend put something in a post box), and that's added 50% on to my quote, not happy!

wow I didn't realise the amount of free stuff that he got given for that auction, mental!

On the street and with the missus who has only been driving 2 years with 1 claim makes mine cheaper! Can't touch the specialist insurers as it's my first performance car and I'm in a Manchester post code.
Theres a page on MSE about how different job titles can change the premium cost. As long as the job title roughly suits what you are doing you'll be fine
