Found some wheels over on Driftworks which are getting delivered tomorrow, can't wait!

HG Works in Manchester quoted me £800 for spraying and fitting a new front bumper, rear bumper and side skirts. I thought that's ok as I was expected £200-250 for front and rear each.
-
AE quoted me £150 for all 4 corners plus £40 travel expenses as the nearest guy is in Yorkshire. Bit more than I was hoping to pay!
-
There's no Arch Enemy place near me unfortunately, all down south by the looks of things!
-
Just bought some new wheels and I may need to get the arches rolled. I remember someone on here had the machine themselves and were renting it out but I can't find the thread anywhere!
If not, does anyone know anywhere in Manchester that can do this? I've had a quick look at ArchEnemy who charge £90 per pair of arches, but you can buy the roller yourself for £120 on eBay if it's worth doing myself?
-
Might even be tempted by 18s. Second hand at the minute, seeing if there's anything out there before buying new! Few over on Driftworks but they come with naff tyres or no delivery

Ultimate green paint code is 9GFE5ZA as RSOC.
edit: Too late, Coldel beat me to it!

I've been reading sbout running costs of an R35 and while they are high, they're not as high as some people make out. Once the cars out of its 3 year warranty youre better of getting it serviced at a specialist such as Middlehurst or Litchfield whose prices are much more reasonable!
The £11k repair bill was an error, Nissan have changed the price of replacing the system apparently. It's still expensive if you do hit someone but for around £70 you can get something which disables the bonnet popup in a collision.
-
I wish my insurance was £820, renewal time at the end of this month and I'll be paying well over £1000
-
Has anyone ordered any of the parts? Wondering if they come primed so a local body shop can paint them or if they need prepping/primed prior to painting.
-
Why did they say the steering wheel controls do not work? Going to install a patch cable soon which should get them working, it's an ICT 29-004SW as the non-SW has a 3.5mm jack instead of a wire, but you can just cut off the jack apparently.
-
Cheers Sam, exactly what I was lookin for! Off to B&Q it is then, can't beat a bit of DIY if it includes saws.

Had my low profile Liftmaster trolley jack turn up this morning, that hasn't gone well
Do you guys jack the car up from the front or side when using a trolley jack? Can't get to the jacking point so I used the Zeds scissor jack on one side to help it a little bit to only find out that when the trolley jack does fit under the car and be where it should be, I can't jack it up as the handle needs to go up and down but going up hits the front bumper.
Should I just buy some bits of wood or car ramps to help get the car up? Ramps would be fine for sorting the O2 sensors but I wanted to get all the wheels off at the same time!

Think the deal that came through my door was this: http://shop.virginmedia.com/bundles.htm ... rts=DM_158
Seems decent for the VIP one, works out £62 a month after cashback, nearly 50% less than what I pay Sky! It just depends what the Tivo box is like as my current sky boxes are so much better than my parents V+ ones.
-
Always a good sign when you're vigin them a nice sum of money every month
Have you gone for TiVo? Be interested to hear what it's like as my parents old V+ box is godawful and I've just had a letter through the door about swapping to VM and it's about £30/month less than I currently pay with Sky. Biggest difference would be going from 6mb ADSL to proper broadband!
-
Mine passed at Lockwood & Greenwood with HFCs fitted but I do still have the original cats from my 04 if you want to borrow them for MOT? I'd sell them but I know I'll end up paying more for a pair when I come to sell the zed!
Just PM me if you do want to borrow them, I'm in all week, M28.

Been watching it get relisted over and over.
He bought it himself on eBay for £176 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170803012475#ht_500wt_1204 only a couple of weeks so wonder why he's selling so soon! I heard a couple of people say they suffer from heat-soak which put me off buying it.

I'm 26 and currently with Admiral Multi Car, I think on it's own it was something daft like £2200. Multi-car dropped a good wedge off that which was nice. I can't go for any specialists or Sky as I've got a Manchester post code

Can add me to the list, bought and tested today!

RTB used to have a thread somewhere with all prices and material didn't he? Can't seem to find it!
Looks like I will go the route of wrapping the centre console, any ideas about the lower door scuffs?
-
How difficult is it to wrap? How much vinyl did you need? I might go down that route but I thought it would be very difficult due to the dials and round the gearstick, do you do it all with 1 sheet to stop seams?
-
Has anyone plastidip'd part of their interior? I know a few people have done wheels but wondered what it's like in an interior.
I've managed to get a small scratch on my cubby door and it's been annoying me for months, since I have to take my headunit out to put a steering wheel patch cable in I thought I might as well sort out the dash. I've also got a few scratches on the inside of the drivers side door where I get into the car in a rush when it's peeing down and scuff the door, so that needs sprucing up as well!
I also came acrossGtechniq C4 Permanent Trim Restorer which looks great for restoring faded trim but wondering if it would cover up the scratch or just make everything darker with a small lighter scratch still visible, anyone have experience with C4 (not that kind!)?
Vinyl wrap is another way of doing it but i don't fancy trying that as I know I'll **** it up and vinyl isn't exactly cheap.

Yeah i'm looking for someone up North, round Manchester who can do it for less than the £190 I've been quoted. I'm sure you posted in here RTB, maybe someone didn't like Husky's services being 'advertised'?
