I wouldn't call Litchfields or SVM a back-street tuner and they certainly know a lot more than Nissan dealerships about the GTR as 99.9% of their customers will be in Micras/Almeras.

I made my 350z as good as it could be, in my eyes, without spending silly money on it (well the missus would say it was silly money). I probably spent around 70% of what I actually paid for the car 2 years ago on modifying it. You can see around a 25-30% increase in power in a GTR for similar money as you would have to put into a 350z for only a 10% increase. I'll definitely be modifying my next car as it's a disease, it'll cost a lot less than £100k and I can't think of another car for around £100k that I'd actually want for performance/practicality.

Gap insurance worth getting on a second hand car or only if there's a high depreciation expected?

Put a deposit down on a 620hp one which I can't wait to pickup! Have to wait until 6th July which seems to be taking an age! Owned a zed for 2 years but this just had me grinning the entire time.

Be prepared for the servicing. One of the lads I was with on the weekend sold his and bought a lambo gallardo as its cheaper to run lol

I've looked into all running costs and I only do around 4000 miles a year so consumables won't be much of an issue and the servicing costs aren't that bad when going to a specialist such as Litchfield or SVM.

What is it with zeds recently? Everytime I come on the forum someone else has had their car damaged! Hope you get it fixed quickly and smoothly, can't imagine how pi**ed you were/are, I'd be raging inside until they were properly prosecuted.

I'll check this evening about all the brackets. They were removed by Lockwood & Greenwood, a very reputable Nissan/Scooby garage in Manchester, so I doubt they will have anything wrong with the mounting points.
