  1. ...just waiting to get pulled...

    Sadly, no pun intended?

Someone tries to pinch the plates, they give it a good tug and it comes off in their hand

Japanese have smaller ones and this is more noticeable up the rear where the UK ones are long and thin. Some prefer the JDM up the rear due to its size.

Which do you prefer up your rear Dave?

Asians (generally) have very small ones...

    Hello Dip

Ha ha ha ha ha. Your going straight to Hell for that one :)

  3. Well I was guilty of being probably one of there oldest Customers of approx 22 years.

My phone up until march of this year was still on the original Mercury Tariff.

One morning I found I could not phone out or log into my T-Mobile.

When I rang I kept being put through to the unpaid bills department where every representative was rude and pig ignorant.

I was told that unless I paid outstanding balance of £678 I would not be reconnected.

And surely enough a red letter the next morning.

I immediately ported my number to a virgin sim only for £18 a month.

I made contact with the board of directors of T-Mobile EE and they said it was a mistake and squashed the bill.

Why am I telling you this story!

Stay away from EE as they are only as good as their customer service when things go wrong.

EE are rude and ignorant and talk down to you.

    Never again.

  4. This little video shows the cars leaving in the morning.

Interestingly you will notice a white 911 with LEG in the numberplate.

The car is owned and driven by a lovely lady( Lesley) and she has a great sense of humour, as she unfortunately has lost the use of her legs.

She has her designer wheel chair made to go in the front passenger foot well.

No peddles just hand controls, and trust me she can throw that car round a track like the best of them.

It just goes to show what can be achieved when you put your mind to it.

  5. I actually walked out of my hotel in windsor and seen a lot of cars driving past, that big grey american boat didn't half roar the pants off the people watching on.. my god that was loud!

That was a Dodge Challenger in battleship grey.

    The back wheels were huge.

  6. There isn't actually an engine brake (except for in some trucks/diesel engines) ~ it's just a term used to describe the effect caused when you're off the throttle & the vehicles rolling faster than the engines rpms. Like when you downshift from a higher gear to a lower gear at speed coming to a stop at traffic lights for example.

The friction in the drive train/vacuum on the engine basically causes the engine to slow & the vehicle in turn (won't happen when you're not in gear as you're just free wheeling then).

Hope I've explained it correctly as that's the way I understand it.

Stop showing off you Nurdy Geek !! :)

  7. Right I decided to stay with K&N as supplied and just do what some of the others have done.

I just need to find a place that sells a RU-3580 near to me to pick up on Friday.

I am sorting the brakes out on Saturday so 2 birds 1 stone :)

Many many thanks for all the advice guys.

I am checking some other bits over so will let you know my findings.

  8. Pete, I cleaned mine today after this post prompted me to have a look. I've only don't about 6000 miles on it from new but having run k&n before I can honestly say it was no dirtier than expected and could have done the same again before needing cleaning. I only really run mine on clear days and don't do many miles, are you driving in particularily dust conditions as it may be down to environment and you will just have to clean more frequently, a different filter is unlikely to make much difference.

Is yours in the same position Olli

  9. Ark is written in several places.

I had a guy tell me one day that my ARK was a cheap HKS copy.

I ignored it as it was a twatish remark.

ARK INDUSTRIES are a well established company with a long heritage in indy racing, so I read in an article.

    I love my ARK ;)
