also spotted saturday sydneham bypass in the afternoon first chilli red 350z i have seen in the flesh so to speak looked good..

there hasn't been much in the way of interest in this. should we cancel? 3 yes and 2 maybes, not worth it is it?

ROUTE AND MEETING POINTS

10am for 10:15am leaving - Meeting at Antrim, M1 motorway junction car park. This is for those that want to drive up to the BBQ spot in convoy. We will leave here at about 10:30.

Magheracross picnic area, on the main Portrush to Portballintrae road (A2) ... meeting at 11:30am for BBQ lunch before setting off at around 1pm

what do you think? i'll need to let the PSNI know we will be in a convoy and the route we are taking and apparently no more than 20 cars.(not that i would expect that many), so to keep them happy. is there specific convoy guidelines that 350z-uk.com use?

me too, i live in dundoanld...

so it seems there are quite a few zed's around but just not all are on this forum..including the two mentioned i think i have seen about 4 others regularly. Plus a white 370z, that's always parked at dundonald village. i have flyers in the car now, so if i get the chance i will flyer them, maybe even just write the details of the meet on the back of the flyer as well.

So do you think an antrim coast run then? with some food involved some how?

Get a time and place etc arranged and ill throw a post up on rms, to try and get the numbers up

im on RMS a bit too, but not the forums, just the classifieds. i do have an account still though, will need to check RMS for more zed activity

why whats up with the zed?

what do you guys reckon? a drive with a bbq? or just a meet in a car park keep it simples to start?

been on a few drives with the mr2oc, the typical(but still great) up the antrim coast to a bbq spot just outside port stewart. or a drive through wicklow mountains then on to a pub for some lunch.both good fun.

looking at dates, maybe 28th may? the weekend of the monthly payday for most people? or is that too soon?

anything happening over the next few months?

EDIT: just printed out the spotted flyers and trimmed them down. ready to try and recruit some z owners, then get a meet if there is enough people joined or interested members

EDIT2: just looking at the NI forum, the last good turnout and meet was organised by martinopy in 2009

arrrgghhhhh fricking clicky axle!!!!

took the car on a spirited run in this fine weather...at the end of the day reversing back into the drive, i heard it... higher pitched double clicky sound.. drove forward and back, and then under load accelerated, clicking everytime...noooo. i'm gonna have to learn to live with it just now. i have been instructed that all the money now has to go on the wedding..

Still want to do stuff to the car even though funds are going towards wedding, is there a discussion topic where all the mods are free/cheapest and links to the guides?

free/cheap mods:

bose stereo fix(£5 cable required)

clear rear fog (£15 bulb required)

i let my missus have a go the first day i got it, she didnt like the heavy clutch as well. Which put her off driving it...

i tried using this stuff...and to be honest, i never saw that much of a difference? i followed the instructions, damp cloth, gt12 and nail brush it in, then 10% water with dye then sponge it into the cracks and scuffs... let it dry, damp cloth the excess... i never used the small shine bottle.. so im not sure what i did wrong... certainly not getting the results others are getting..

hmm.. i thought to myself after i bought my car "i never see many z's around." Went out on sunday there , 6...6 of them 3 with 10 minutes of being on the road. i silver one leaving the garage as i pull in, another sunset one heading away from town as im heading in, and I pulled into a private car park in the city centre i have access to and whats there, a black z.... plus on the road up north and back seen another black,silver, and a white, but i think the white was a 370 it was a good bit away.... common as muck!!! haha

3: also on the new pads none of them had the metal retainer sticking of the bottom left corner. is this needed? As it was on the pads i removed.

right ok i phoned up nissan for shims, £34 plus vat. bit frigging dear for a couple bits of thin metal.

so i have found these they look identical to what i need brembo shims and cheap too.

can anyone confirm these are suitable?

installed some new ferodo ds2500 on the rears today, but there are some concerns:

1: removed the pads from offside and one of the shims was missing. do i get another one from nissan? (the rectangular one was there)

2: on the other side i was expecting to see 2 shims, one square and one cut at an angle with an arrow on it, but there was 2 rectangluar ones, is this correct?
