  1. Thanks Ekona. Will try a few 70 (ish) to 30 stops to see if that works
  2. Evenin all. Had the Zed's first MOT last week. Passed with flying colours but had an 'advisory' for a juddering front off-side brake. Had never noticed a thing until this but (as always seems to be the way when your car goes near a garage - or is it just me?) since the test the front o/s brake does indeed vibrate a small amount through the steering wheel at speed and makes a whirling, rubbing sound, through the cabin at slower speeds. Any one shed any light on this? Could it be something loose?? Its due its P3 at end of the month so will get them to look then but in the meantime if anyone else has had this please let me know. Cheers, Stroudy.
  3. Out of Nissan dealers in the south ive found Martins Winchester to give the cheapest quote for a P3. What price will Martins Renault charge for this then tim?? Same deal apply to a P3, i need one this month??

    accelera tyres

Yep personal choice is the key at the end of the day. E.g I had the Falkens on my MR2 REV4 a few years back and they were totally cack on that, the rears used to inflate themselves to nearly 50psi on a long run on a hot day???? Also the side walls felt like jelly. So i'd never choose them for the Zed.. On a different note, for all of us in the south, Micheldever Tyres near Winchester will price match anything on the net and fit so long as they can find it on the net on computer at the till..
  5. ..dragging up an old thread but I have the Kumho 31's on my 307 HDi 150 and on that they're brilliant. Widely reviewed as budget tyres that are better than a lot of premiums. Done 30k miles in 2 years on them and they've hardly worn at all, even the fronts which have 300+Nm of torque going through them and i do have a slightly heavy foot in that They are brilliant in the rain too and one of the best things is that they are virtually silent.. and that would make a lot of difference on my new Zed as I currently have the OEM Bridgestones and they are the noisiest tyres I have ever heard! I take it this is a common prob??
  6. Tell me about it. Called 2 main dealers 10 miles apart this week for the cost of a P3 service, one was £265 the other £357.. for the same thing. I know where i'll be going! Cost price on a P3 is 180 odd quid apparently. Tw@s aren't they eh...
  7. £185! Goes to show how much they are ripping us off. Got a few 'independent' prices to get, i'll post if I find any good deals..
  8. Hi all. Just phoned round for some prices for a P3 service on the Zed. Car is a 2007 GT, thought i'd list dealers and prices to help a few 'southerners' out! - Martins, Winchester, 01962 810100 - £265 (will be going here, good rep). - West Way, So'ton, 02380 865021 - £357? (are they nuts? Do they not know Martins prices? Wont be going here) - Sparshatts, Botley nr Southampton, 01489 785111 - £285 (ex-main dealer, still service Zed's, good rep) Well there you go, Martins it is, unless anyone else knows of any good non-dealers with a good rep around Hampshire that will do it for less? Thanks.
  9. ..oh and just for the record I have a Nismo cat back system with standard air box/filter and it sounds perfect
  10. Yeah a 2007 is also a rev up. I have a 2007 56 plate (296) which is a rev up. Nissan then went to the 313bhp 350Z later in 2007 which is the final version.
  11. ..sorry, just looked in mods and found that bits about the pop charger, didnt want to start a debate in here or raise an eyebrow! Cheers..
  12. Here she is.. So the exhaust is sorted... What about the best subtle induction upgrade? (let the floodgates open!) Thanks for the warm welcome all.
  13. Hello all. Last weekend i bought my first Zed. A black 07 GT sold by none other than Alex Buncombe, works Nissan GT4 (RJN Motorsport) and Le Mans Classic/Group C driver. Top bloke and absolutley beautiful and well maintained car, never wanted for anything by the looks of the history and subtly modded with Nismo pipes (what a sound) and Eibach 20mm spacers. Top buy.. I look forward to having massive fun in the car and being part of this community.. oh and having a nice fat resource of Q&A's at my finger tips Cheers, Stroudy.
