  1. I don't know what shocks me more,

£180 for new rear pads fitted or not double checking the cradle bolts are tight.

Presuming the pads were stupidly expensive at £50 and the garage charged 30 mins labour. That would equate to £260 per hour inc vat labour charge.

Nice work if you can get it.

For sure mistakes happen in any environment, with what you describe has happened there will have been a warning noise before the end result.

I have taught my wife and daughter to listen to there cars for any odd sounds as one day stopping and checking may save their lives.

If I was you approach the garage in a polite manner, ask for any money you are out of pocket for regarding recovery and a goodwill gesture for the poor quality of workmanship.

Threatening this and that will just get you nowhere I suspect.

  2. I haven't used this garage but I have used similar venues and in my opinion they are very good for the car enthusiast.

They usually have a skilled tech on site if you get into difficulties.

Not expensive and so much better than working in the street with jacks.

  3. The disc runout needs to measured with the wheels on.

Its a given that this will show the disc is not running true when assembled.

Hence why initially it appears to be fixed but after a period of time the judder re appears.

    DTV is the outcome,

It is important to find the source of the problem and eliminate rather than just keep fitting new discs.

I fear you are in for a long frustrating time with Nissan.

Gstraw on here had a very similar issue and after about 8 months of frustration with Nissan brought the car down south and I fixed it for him.

    Good Luck

  4. City link do seem to get bad press but I have a contract with them for my business and only 1 parcel has gone missing in 4 years. This was dealt with OK.

City link has had a new head honcho for about 18 months and for me I have no complaints.

  5. The first moment I saw 'GUNS' was when you brought the car to me to solve the judder.

From that moment on I was drawn into buying a zed.

First the Azure 350 and only a year or so later a Pearl White 370.

Thank you for the influence and good luck with your next car.
