  1. I filled up with VPower on mon before the VAT hike and at 129.9 a litre it cost me £88.67

Been to scared to look at the new price since! :scare: Won't use regular fuel so it'll be toast n beans for the rest of the month caus theres NO WAY food moneys comin out of the moddin funds! :teeth: I'd rather starve!

    :scare: liking the commitment

Last time i filled up it was around 1.30 but i heard it had gone up to £1.35- £1.40 with the hike and VAT rise. I reccon i could be on for a £100 fill tonight :scare:

  2. I had a similar thing some time ago but on the front. I just replaced the one tyre, the other one was maybe 20-25% worn, both tyres are still on there after a further 5k. I'll replace them both when the older one wears out though.

ok a quick calculation says about 6.5mm tread or 2mm difference should be ok

  3. kwick fit priced BS 050 at £250!!!!!!

But my local garage (spare deal tyres, nottingham) did it for £170 fitted so not to bad but the tyres were still relatively new so annoying

note: spare deal tyres are great with cheap tyres.

  4. Quick question, i have searched here and google but cannot find a coherent answer.

Just had a puncture (rear offside) which cannot be repaired and i am aware i should have both rear tyres replace however the other tyre has a lot of tread left. my question is how much tread makes the other tyre ok 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm? i will check the tyre tonight to see how much is left but i dont know what level is ok

    Any info would be appreciated

  5. After reading a few post on the topic i decided to get myself a set of Falken HS-439 or Kumho KW27 as i only have the 350z to drive all year round, and this snow is making the car twitch all over the place. However now the issue is, i cant find anywhere that have them in stock.

Does anyone know any good websites to try

  6. Yes, another thread trying to gauge travel conditions.

My good lady and I are travelling to Beeston in Nottingham for a Crimbo doo tomorrow morning. The usual route I take is M74 - M6 to Jct 16 - A500 - A50 - M1 Jct 24 - M1 Jct 25 to Beeston, well actually Chilwell.

As we will pass through North England and across to the East Midlands, could I ask members of their knowledge of current driving conditions in these parts.

Would you risk it in your Z's?

The quandry is whether to take The Fat Datsun (Joke!) or our front wheel drive, devil fueled, Seat Leon.

Hey, I'm a nott man myself, Stapleford. Roads are all fine really just the very low use side roads that still have some ice on. Been into beeston loads and it is fine.
