Try short shifting to thrid when you can mate. I have 2 gearboxes being rebuilt now and I will offer an exchange when they are done :pmr35lee: If the problem starts to annoy you as it will continue to worsen in most cases then get in touch.
Cheers - Sorry i know good things come from :pmr35lee: too but i just havent had a chance to use you yet!
Where are you based and what kind of cost am i looking at for an exchange?

Yup - common issue. You either learn to live with it or get a new gear box
I had gear box oil changed but it made no discernable difference - though addition of Molyslip might help - available here http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=157&t=43465
Just another thing - Does everything good come from
Had the car 3 weeks and already i speak to him more than my missus!

Thanks for that - Just didnt want to think my 'box was on the way out!
This sports car lark is not cheap!

Just getting to grips with the new zed - mostly loving it - Cant stop driving past high walls and plate glass shops!
One of the issues i have is that when cold its hard to get it in to second gear. It seems quite notchy - takes a little more force than i feel it should and more than the other ratios.
Once warm though it seems fine. Is this common? any ideas?
I will take it for a service in the next month or so and get them to change the gear box oil to see if that has any effect.

sorry i know i am a newbie here but a c-class amg 32 is just the most bonkers car in a real world scenario. Reliable and proper quick and an auto with no shame.
Much nicer than an M3 and far more understated!
i shall go and have a look; always open to suggestions, was toying with the older S4's from audi
The B5 S4's are great and good value but i have heard horror stories about the twin turbo engine from more than one place. Its the same lump in the allroad, worth a look and better value. The B6 V8 while a bit "inert" is a great every day driver and probably better economy than the z. I took a couple out before i bought the missus a bigger car and plumped for the z!

It looks like he put an intake and plenum spacer in - Just no invoices in history i got. Also missed a service but i can imagine if he has bothered with that then he would have skipped service?
Dont have the V5 back yet from DVLA but a good idea thanks
I am pretty sure he was Leicester Based

It looks likes he was the previous keeper of my Z, bought off a trader
It looks like he cared for it - Had it remapped and did spacers etc.
Would like to get hold of him to see if he still has any of the info
Any help would be great.
Cheers

Hi All
New z owner her (collected last night ) -5 + long slow drive home
Would love to come to a localish meet - I am NW London (harrow)
-
thanks - i did notice that. I will take it to someone soon to get it looked at in a couple of months. The first 3 were done at nissan so i am hopeful that the main bits were done properly. Can anyone recommend a London specialist or is nissan the place to take it to? It has just had oil which i am assuming is the most vital thing.

Thanks all - Based Harrow NW London. Anyone close?

Hi Folks
Been prowling about for a while. Just put a deposit on a 55 plate 350z. 58k 4 services.
Should pick it up tomorrow. It has been re-mapped by RS in Leeds - Dyno showing just under 300bhp.

Does anyone know of the car? it looks like it has been loved by its previous owner.
Looking forward to the Z experience.
First on the list is new Alpine system.
Looking forward to seeing the back of my C Class. Nothing wrong with it just a bit dull.
Photos to follow.
