Barnaby,
Perhaps if you could clerify if it is an 18" or a 19" that you require then you may get a better response.
Alex
Edited! sorry typed it when i was in a burning rage from the ebay tyre place that screwed me over!

i bought the same but wired for about half the price. Must say very pleased with it. Had a problem reading an older 3 series diesel but everything else has been fine.

Do an ebay nissan 350z salvage breaking search.
Thanks, There is a couple on there but some of these salvage blokes want crazy money.
Dunno why, for a rareish car there seems to be a lot of heavily smashed zed's kicking about

I have had mine a couple of months now and it seems that the same gripes and plusses come up the whole time.
I agree that it is deceptively fast and have found myself out of the bounds of the law a couple of time (a day!)
I can forgive, in fact i kind of like a slightly shabby interior and pants radio - it has a Japanese charm all of its own. My main problem is the heavy clutch and general weightyness of the machine; I have been using it as my daily driver and sitting in traffic its a bit of a dog. I can see why so many have it as a second car. In its element its brilliant, but around town my missus' 1series bimmer diesel beats it hands down for real world speed and driveability. I knew it was a proper car that you had to make allowances for and i shouldn't be surprised. Fuel consumption is an issue too but i didnt expect any different.
Worthwhile purchase? Park next to an audi tt like i did last night and its worth all the gripes and pain. Find a nice bit of b-road and 16mpg just fades into insignificance. Sneek a peak out the window at it and try not to grin. Cant wait to play with it on my first track day in the summer......

No dice from Pimm; anyone else?

Need a bluetooth adaptor. The one i got cheap off ebay was rubbish!

Computer saying 16 odd mpg. I put £80 in it and got about 200 miles but it was just on the red light. I do all urban driving, commuting etc. I think a full tank from brimming to empty should hit 250 miles. Mine is chipped + Spacer. Only had it a month and i am still "enjoying" driving it.

Jez was very highly regarded when I owned my 200sx. He was meant to be able to get the best out of ecu mods and just "got" it.

They are good - I picked up an active cradle for my blackberry off ebay cheap and i thought i would fit it to the zed. pictures when i do.
-
Its only £15 but i thought i would ask on here first.

I seem to remember the final bit that covers the speakers etc 'just' pops off but needs loads of force...either way just persevere ..I think i got to the stage of giving up to and gave it a final go ..once you suss out one clip the others then become obvious. next attempt you'll win!!!
Cheers - more daylight this weekend!

When I got my JDM Zed it didn't have the rears working...so took the covers of..sounds worse than it really is btw...and yes it had speakers and yes they looked as new but both had blown coils. So simply replaced them with same size new ones and oh what a difference. Just be well careful with all that plastic especially if its cold weather, maybe worth warming it up in a warm garage or at least take the car out to warm the interior. Best of luck!
Thanks i tried it today - it was a dog of a job. Got as far as removing all the plastic then couldn't get the final bit off that covers the speakers - then it started to get dark.
I will not be defeated, try again on my next day off!

Thanks for the info, I knew there wasn't many options for the ZED but i was curious.
Sorry about the VIN thing; schoolboy error.
-
Mine is UK non gt. I assumed there was some dealer fit and special order extras that the vin would tell you. I'm Just curious really.
What started it off was that my rear speakers don't work (non bose) i just wanted to know if they were fitted before I took the car apart!
-
Check to see if the speakers are there first then as this may be your problem Invisible speakers
I have just found this guide for rear speaker removal - useful

When I was on a merc. forum there was a couple of guys who knew what exact spec you had by the vin number. Does anyone know if this is possible with the zed?
-
thanks for that - on the look out for a cheap pair....

Hi, has anyone succesfully swapped their manual adjust seats with airbag to electric adjust, heated with airbag?
I have the manual seats and there are spare connectors under them which I guess is for the electric versions.
There are also spare connectors leading to where the heated seat switches go in the center console.
Are they just swap out and plug n play?
Hope one of you Guys can help!!
Sorry to bump this but did it ever get an answer?
Would like to do the same myself and there is enough out there with scrappies.
I guess the question is can you uk model heated seats in a non GT spec car?
