  1. Thanks, I'll talk to them. What a pain ... the damage is about 2" long but it's creased the metal and gone through the paint, so no paintless repair options. I'll post back with what they say.
  2. It had to happen. Some tw*t has whacked their door into the offside rear wing of my 40th in a car park It's creased and gouged the paint. I have a good local dent specialist I'm happy to use, but what's the deal with the self-healing paint? Is it something normal bodyshops can deal with?
  3. I've just done exactly the opposite. Chris Knott wanted nearly £1200 to renew, admiral came in at £450 (23 years driving, max ncd, no accidents/convictions, good postcode). Why do they do it? They must know what we're going to do. I was shocked at Chris Knott; I thought they'd be above games like that. I didn't ask them to re-quote, if they don't send the best first time they don't deserve the business imho.
  4. I'm getting very frustrated ... the car's been sitting in the dealership ready to go since Sep 1, but still waiting for the DVLA paperwork to come back to get it onto it's private reg ... fingers crossed for tomorrow. If I'd known they were doing it by post I'd have gone to the local office myself and queued!
  5. Thanks for the welcome everyone. I drove a 350 on a Palmer day years ago and have had a bit of a hankering ever since. I have a heavily modified elise as a track car which I can't really enjoy on the road any more as it has such a track-biased set-up, so this seemed a good way of getting a fun car for both the missus and myself. We'll want to track it at some point so I'll probably be along asking about mods before long... I have real trouble leaving cars alone!
  6. Hello everyone. Picking up our 370Z 40th Anniversary on Sep 1, No. 106 in quartz. Can't wait - roll on Wednesday and the first 1200 miles ....
