  1. From another teddy bear, I'd personally go with a TT Manual Supra :drive1

You would be able to pick up a nice facelift VVTI Supra for that money.

If you have never been in one, give it a try. The smiles per gallon alone, is worth it!

And as previously mentioned, the gains from a standard car can be had very easily and cheaply.

Make sure you get the manual gearbox, as it will hold it money more than an auto will.

  2. Okay, here goes:

    CD1: Lamb of God: Wrath

    CD2: Cypress Hill: Black Sunday

CD3: Prodigy: The Fat of the Land

    CD4: Blues Brothers compilation

    CD5: Van Halen best of

    CD6: Machine Head: The Blackening

This list is full of win

Also listening too Pantera: Reinventing Hell

Queens of the stone age: Songs for the Deaf.

Killswitch Engage: The End of Heartache :band:

Guilty pleasure: Motley Crue: Dr. Feelgood

  3. So, driving home along some great country roads at an even 60mph, plenty of straights and bends etc... I get caught up by a bright green Dawoo Matiz, occupied by three lads. Nothing against other people's cars though, just the morons driving them, especially when they tailgate, despite being unable to overtake.:angry:

These jokers were itching to get round me, but weren't keeping up in the twisties and didn't have the power for the straights and could only catch up. Well they've pi**ed me off so I ain't slowing down for them to pass, and I ain't speeding up - why should I?

So they finally get a half chance to pass and 'floor it' so despite a powerful urge to speed up a bit to keep them where they belong, I decided to let it go and let them pass. They got just about level with me when what I thought would happen, did happen - oncoming traffic turns the next corner. As much as I'd love to see them crash and burn, not really fair on the other guy - so I brake giving them room to get back in. They subsequently slam on the anchors to avoid hitting the queue of slow traffic ahead which they hadn't factored in. :drive1

But they got past a ZED!!!! WHOO HOO!!!!

Am I the only one who thinks that you were smoked by a Daewoo Matiz :p

    Only joking.

  4. As per title, looking for a pre facelift azure bonnet as someone decided that mine needed to be keyed!

Ideally located in Scotland, as I would prefer to collect.

  5. This is due to the roadster being an insurance group higher.

I would not bother with comparison sites if I was you.

Get on to admiral/elephant/bell and "play around" with the system, be sure to add a couple of older relatives to the quote even if they will never see the car let alone drive it. It's good to have them on there just in case. Also you'll want to tick the box that says: do you drive another car on a regular basis, you would not believe how much this reduces some peoples premium. Christmas is regular. ;)

  7. Right, I've done it all again, took the head unit out the car, cut the soldered cable off, exposed fresh cable, re-soldered it back on, made sure everything was tidy, put it all back together and now everything works except the volume control  and now my phone switches itself off when I connect the headphone jack to it, suggesting a short somewhere! really trying my patience this one.

  8. I just followed the guides on here, only other thing I can think of is that I took away the spring and small metal plate to fool the head unit into thinking there is always a tape in. Are you thinking that the solder might of been untidy/joined onto the wrong points? Because I was really careful to connect the right points and I've done loads of soldering before, then wrapped all exposed wire with electrical tape.

Really not sure what to try next, could revert it back to the way it was and see if it all works, don't really want to have to do that though.

  9. Added the mp3 mod to the bose head unit today, but unfortunately once I plugged everything back in most of the buttons don't work only the power and volume work. So I can't change between cd/radio/mp3 etc, the mod itself works fine, just can't change back to cd or radio, skip buttons don't work either.

I've tried taking everything back out, double checking everything is plugged in the right place, as that's the kind of problem it sounds like to me.

 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  11. Heading with the BORDC (Buchan Offroading Driving Club) to an orienteering event. I've not made it down Drumclog yet, heard it's good though. Not going to say where it is too publically (had problems with sites before) but if your friend is around this way tell him to check the site out http://www.bordc.net can always do with more members!

    **Off topic**

Clarkie, I take it you had a supra before? Judging by the team beard sig.

    Had a Black TT6 myself.

    **Back on topic**

  12. Had a look at the club insurer as well, however you have to be at least 30

Contrary to popular belief there is more than one club insurer.

Well unfortunately sky wouldn't quote me either as I'm 24, need to be 25!

  13. Yup, weights inside the wheel. The advert was shot in two parts and stitched together, the join is when the exhaust is rolling uphill, that is the only bit that is computer generated. Very good advert though. They also did an advert where they cut out hundreds of channels in a road so that when a car drove over them it played a tune. linky B)

  14. Electronic device doesn't work when switched off! Strange one :bleh:

Seriously though, If you are having trouble with battery life then enter *#*#4636#*#* into the phone, then check battery history, then change the top option to "partial wake usage", this will tell you of any apps that are not letting the phone "sleep". Then simply delete the apps using menu>settings>applications>manage applications.

The phone will manage battery life fine by itself, you do not need "app killer" etc, some people have actually found these type of apps to cause the phone to be partially awake.

Ps, give the Music Wizard app a try from the market place. It allows you to download any music track straight to your phone, no accounts or user name and password required. Love this app :cloud9:
