  1. Hi I am looking to add a few aero parts to my 07 HR roadster. So far I have seen a few parts I like - but most seem to be from outside the UK. I was wondering if anyone can help me with best places in the UK to source the following items (or similar looking replicas) Rear Diffuser - Top Secret Side Skirts - Chargespeed Bottom Line. Front Splitter - Stillen OEM. Cheers
  2. I live just east of Chester and work in Wrexham - i'm looking for somewhere to get my Z serviced (27,000 mile) in the locality. Ordinarily I would have gone to Chester main dealer - but they seem very expensive and I havent had great service from them over a repair. Any reccomendations would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. Bought my 07 plate Z roadster from Westway Nissan. They tried to bash the books when I went to pick up the car by trying to force me to buy 12 months tax on the day I picked it up - when I only wanted to buy 6 They also put the tax through the books as if they had taxed the car. They also only gave me minumum warrany with the vehicle (3 months). They seemed totally disinterested from start to finnish. After 7 months of owning the car - the slave cylinder went. Took the car to Chester for repair (very expensive) £1100 for a replacement slave cylinder and clutch. Drove the car 10 miles after having it repaired and the engine warning light came on. Apparently they had forgotten to connect something back up properly. I have put a complaint in to Nissan customer services with regards to the above - they are also disinterested. This is the first Nissan I have owned and will probably be the last - i'm not at all impressed. I am seriously thinking of getting rid and going back to Lotus - at least they are reliable.
  4. I had something similar a few weeks back (clutch not returning) - it was the slave cylinder. My car has now had three of these since new (07 plate - 28,000 miles). The original one, the one supposedly replaced under a recall notice - and the one I now have.
  5. Managed to get the jet partially unblocked. Took multiple blasts with an air pump, multiple twiggles with a pin, a kettle of hot water and about an hour and a half of fiddling. Still one jet blocked - may give it another go this weekend.
  6. Update. Took the car back to Nissan - apparently they hadnt connected something up right when they put the new clutch in
  7. I did find that when looking around but I didnt realise the OBD codes were universal as that car is an Infinity. I have just found this. http://www.tankota.net/repair/Repair_Ma ... p0705p.pdf If i'm reading this right - the car must have recieved a signal that it was in neutral whilst I was actually driving in gear. If that is right - then its a bit of a relief as it doesnt sound too serious, but i'll still have to get it sorted and reset. Maybe this code can be added to the above list
  8. Blimey that was quick! Had already checked it when you posted I checked the code a few times - it always flashes with the sequence I gave above. There only seems to be one code stored. I'll check again later just to make sure I havent miscounted - but i'm pretty sure I didnt.
  9. Code is 850 (10 slow flashes, 8 fast, 5 fast, 10 fast, 10 slow). Looked it up in the error code table and its not one of the ones listed.
  10. Ok thanks. Its not something I have seen before - and with it coming on after only 10 miles following a major repair, i'm a bit paranoid.
  11. I did think of that - but in trying to get the jet off, one of the clips that holds it in place snapped off (they seem very brittle). If I try and remove it completely I may end up snapping all of them and would like a fall back position if this doesnt work.
  12. I know I have mentioned this in another thread - but need some specific advice. After my clutch problem which is now fixed - I drove the car home last night (<10miles) and as I got home the amber CEL light came on. I rang Nissan today to get some advice and they said to bring the car back down. I queried whether the vehicle was safe to drive with the CEL light on as I dont want to cause damage by driving it, if its the start of something serious - but the guy in the workshop said that if it was serious - the CEL light would be RED indicating that the car is in limp mode. I only did about 100 yards in the car with the CEL light on and was only doing very low speed down my lane - so probably wouldnt have been able to tell from driving the car if it had gone into limp mode. I dont have the manual with me right now so cant check - but googling hasnt returned any information about a red CEL light. Any advice would be appreciated.
