I have re-checked the fitting and all is as it should be. I also the clunking noise occasionally but mostly its as I described it like the pads clacking off the calipers. I assume they are genuine as I bought them from cougar store on this forum. I've done some more searching and it seems a few people have had the same problem. I'm reluctant to fork out another £150 ish for a set of ferodos as the EBC's are brand new. I guess I'm gonna have to live with the noise, it's just where brakes are concerned I like to be cautious.

yeah gonna be 18"s 19's would be nice but the tyres are so expensive. Its a bit of a nightmare when you mix sizes front and rear, both on wheels and tyres as its hard to get suppliers who have what I'm looking for in mixed sizes.Gonna go for Falken 452's again, been running on them for 6 months and I can't fault them.

thanks for the info, but its a wee bit technical for me As it is I have 18x225 45 on my 8.0" fronts and18x245 45 8.5" on my rears,neither of which configurations are on your chart. Will 255x45 be ok on the 9.5 wheels I am planning to buy, and 245x45 0n the 8.5" fronts?

I've recently changed my stock nissan pads to EBC red stuff fronts and rears.I've been well impressed with the improvement , plus there's no more "squealing" when I brake. Problem is recently I've noticed what I can only describe as a metallic "clacking" noise when I brake, this only happens when I change direction i.e If I'm reversing,and stop, there is a metallic clacking sound which seems to come form my brakes. It sounds like the pads are bouncing off the calipers, at first it seemed to only come from the rears, but now it seems to come from the front as well. I've double checked the pads and all seems in order. I didn't put any shims in, as I was told that the EBC built in shims would suffice, is this true ? What keeps the pads from rattling about when there is no pressure on the pistons ? I know brakes aren't something to take lightly plus this weird noise is starting to get on my tits, so If someone could shed some light on this I'd be eternally grateful.

I've decided to buy new black wheels for my zed, finally opted for rota grid drift, 18x8.5 front and 18x19.5 rears, what tyres do I need, I know I need 245 for the 8.5 as per the existing rears I have, but what size do I put on the 9.5 wheels? Also what effect, if any, will putting wider wheels than standard have on my zed ?

Thanks for the info Attak, most sites only seem to let you order one width when you use the automated service i.e when you put in your make and model etc, I suppose I'd have to ring for a price if I'm mixing sizes front and rear.

Sounds OK Ekona, what kinda price you have in mind ? Without the tyres if poss, I don't have any need for track tyres, I'm too old

Was gonna get my rays done, but I've decided to keep a set for winter with winter tyres on, and use the black wheels when there's no snow and ice around.

I'm looking for some black, not sure whether to go for glossy or matt, or gunmetal alloys for my zed. I dont want to spend over 1500GBP inc tyres. Any suggestions. Also what width are standard 18" rays ? Any sites I've looked at the wheels come 7.5, 8 or 8.5 inch.

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm a total zed noob. Can this be fitted to a stock exhaust system. Would I notice any appreciable difference in performance/sound ? And lastly is it an easy fit ? I have 30 years engineering experience so I don''t shy away from a spanner I really must read up some more, just don't have the time recently tho.

The last couple of mornings when I get into my zed (08 GT coupe) I've noticed I have a lot of condensation inside my car, I have to put the demister and aircon on to clear the windows.This has happened when the car has been parked over night in the company car park (been working nightshift)there hadn't been any heavy rain,and I've felt all over the floor for damp patches but its all dry as bone. To cut to the chase are there any issues with damp/water ingress with zeds? And If so what areas should I look at for remedial actions ?

I've had my zed 5 months now and still loving it.Winter is fast approaching and I was wondering is the zed as bad to drive in the snow and ice as I've heard ? I don't want to damage my pride and joy, as its usually a long cold winter here in Ireland.

I'm trying to find someone selling smoked indicators for my 08 Zed, where can I buy these ? I'm gonna change the chrome "burger" badges for black, are these glued on or held on with nuts ? Pardon my ignorance but I'm a zed noob

I know what you mean, I "need" black alloys, a new exhaust system, a fancy schmancy double din head unit. Better try antihistamine or calamine lotion to cure the itch, a lot cheaper

Fitted a pair of K&N panel filters today to my 08 350ZGT, car seems slightly more responsive, but not significantly so. The car seems to feel "wrong" somehow, can't quite put my finger on it. Does the ECU take a while to adapt/adjust to the increase air flow rates ?

I've just fitted a set of EBC red's front and rear, I'd heard some good reports, and it was said they produced not much dust, now I'm reading the opposite on this thread. Have I just wasted £120 ?

I had stock OEM's fitted, loads of material left, but they squealed constantly, and faded quite badly when warm.

I'm old, wish I was new Car looks really good, never seen one that colour. Bought my zed 3 months ago, nest thing I ever did, still loving it, and never had a car that causes people to stop and stare, even had a guy in a 911 give a good once over last weekend, though I had spent 4 hours, washing, claying, polishing and waxing the beast !

I got a fixed penalty fine years ago in the exact same manner, some w*nker doing 25 on a national speed limit road, first opportunity I got I passed her, 41 in a 30 zone and bang caught. So far I've not got any points in my zed, but thats probably because everyone is driving like grannies here and I'm usually stuck behind them.
