With the usual poor quality paint showing marks around the head unit and chubby hole, I'm thinking of having that part flocked rather than trying to repaint with textured paint and hoping it comes out ok.
What are the thoughts on this? Can the rubberised paint still look factory and keep the texture of the plastic or is t really obvious?

That's looking really nice!

Ah I see. Well I'll swap the fronts to F1s as soon as I can..
-
Rears are new and fronts are a little worn. it was a downhill turn and there seemed to be dust around so could just be something like that I guess!

From having a read of the manual... sounds like it's fairly expected if it thinks the road is slippery. Didn't seem to be (and it's nice sunshine today) but oh well.. Probably nothing to get too concerned about

Stock car, spacers on the wheels (20mm front, 25mm rear). Fronts are Falken ZE950 (225,45,18) (I think) rears are Eagle F1 Assymetric 3's (245/45/18)

Today I noticed something weird - I took a corner, not particularly fast or exciting and the stability control came on - I'd previously thought that it only came on during breaking?

That's a shame but I suspected as much - is that something you could do and would you have a ballpark estimate of costs?

Unfortunately it's somehow torn all the way through: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107709-torn-drivers-seat/#entry1614040

Mine has damage to the leather so I'm looking for a new seat to swap out
-
Eeek that's a right nasty one. Has it gone right through or just deeply scratched it?
Tell you what it would take some doing to rip it right through.....I struggle to cut leather with a fresh Stanley blade at times.
Honestly I could probably do 'something' with it but I'm not convinced it would totally hide it especially with the perforation in the leather
Si at Mondo will probably be able to advise.

Unfortunately it's right the way through - it's pretty severe and weirdly I still have absolutely no idea how it could have happened!

As Mudman said Hide n Seat for a repair panel or Ricey for a repair to the tear.
Assuming you mean Ricey @ Revolveautomotive? I've sent him a PM, thanks
-
Nasty - how did that happen? Were you wearing something with metal buttons?
That's the weird thing - I have no idea. Haven't been wearing anything with metal buttons, no spikey collars or anything like that! I'm wondering if it just dried and broke but the leather around it is still quite pliant

Mines on 120k now. Not burning any oil and I've had no issues (original clutch)

Performance is probably of interest right now; looks-wise I'm pretty happy with almost stock

Thanks for the advice guys

Well my 2003 GT is still going strong but it's getting to the age where I decide to either get rid of it or keep it and live with the fact that many things / bushings etc need to be replaced around now. I love the car so I'll be keeping it.. But I'm wondering what people consider essential mods?
So far I have:
Wheel spacers (I'd consider these essential)
Nismo Exhaust (lucky enough to have this on the car when I bought it)
Rear parking sensors (dealer fitted when it was new - definitely consider these essential too)
Stubby antenna
I think that's just about it - what else do people consider 'defacto'?
-
I'll have one up for grabs in a couple months
Cool. Pre-facelift right, can you PM me a price? I've heard there are 2 shades of Gunmetal grey in use, how can we figure out if ours are the same?
-
Mine has a few stress marks in - I've got a quote to get it repaired but I'm wondering if it would just be cheaper to replace the bumper so I'm interested if anyone has one up for grabs!
My Z getting refurbished

It's a 2003 and has done 123,000 miles. It's my daily driver which I bought in 2010 with 40k on the clock. It's been flawless overall but it's about time I started taking a little more care of it. It's all mechanically sound but it's picked up some dings and scrapes along the way. I figured I would treat it to a full refurb at Motura in Bournemouth - actually after seeing an ad on facebook and then going and visiting Jamie there.
Here's the short list of what's being done:
Now for some pictures. Before (not looking too bad really but this is the good side. The other side of the bumper wasn't very nice):
During:
And... my whip in the meantime!
This little Aygo is actually pretty neat.. I have to say I don't hate it (that's a compliment)
