Is It driver side or passenger window that dosent work?

Like the title says I was wondering how much a de engine with 3k on (just been rebuilt) is worth with gear box and all other parts required to make it a plug and play system As I am thinking of removing my engine and all other parts then replacing it with a Ls v8 engine (this is just an idea at the moment)

My engine Currently has

Cosworth plenum

Ams pullys

Samco coolant hose kit and induction kit

Stillen headers

Berk hfc

Stillen y pipe

And a few other parts on it that I can't think of at the moment

I also have all the standard part's that where removed to put the after market stuff on .

I will probably strip all the after market stuff off and sell separately and make it a standard unit again ( if I decide to go ahead with the build )

Any guide line or rough idea would be a great help

I think it will look , take a picture of before and after post it up so we can see .

You should get the black front lights too , a set of spacers and paint your wheels monster green it would look the dogs

Where abouts in the north east are you ??? Am in Newcastle and would be able to show you what

stillen headers , berk hfc , stillen y pipe , and Japspeed k1 combo would sound like haha bring your ear defenders tho haha

Yes the yellow/gold piece is the housing.

 

In the guide I wrote there are some pics of the housing and pics of the whole assembly.

 

For clarification did you dismantle this or was it just rocking around inside the door in its current state?

 

I'm pretty sure when my drivers door window stopped working there was no audible click when the button was pressed.

The cover on the left is the magnetic part of the motor ( stator) this gose over the top of the windings (rotor) and the winding's use the magnetic of this to spin . If this makes sense to you ???

What else do you have in your door ???

I had to cut the flanges off mine and weld the back box's on to the pipes at the right angle to get mine to look right , alot of **** on for a exhaust

I wouldn't bother if your only taking the window fuse out mate

If you take the fuse out and look at the side of it (into the plastic part) , there should be a compete (kind of bridge) connecting the two prongs that stick out the plastic togeather if its black or not connected then the fuse has blown, if it is connected then it's fine .

Do you here a relay click when you press the window button in ???

It is more than likely just the bushes inside the motor if they get stuck and dont make contact with the rotor it wont work , giving you the impression it has given up . If I get time this week I will make a guide to show how to check / maintain your window motors

A small fortune... I think it was about 6.5k including the engine, gear box and other bits from ZMANALEX.

It was about the same as having the old engine rebuilt with new pistons and bits.

The Z is currently at Abbey have the GTM TT installed.

For that price i would go for a LS engine swap ,

wish I did instead of getting mine rebuilt ( which cost 3.2k )

So anyone here pick this up? I see it went or a good price, I had spotted this last week but decided to take the plunge & buy the Vortech v3 rather than take the chance with the bracket not working

is there any sort of pattern to when they come ??? (other than when your dad gose out) if not it's pointless keeping big f@ckers in your garage waiting for them .

you need to do it like us northeners and if your not willing to do it your self find some local hard nut's to take them on a little journey and make them see that your not someone to be f@cked with , if not it won't stop they will just getting more cocky and push the boundarys further next time.

Police are useless in most situations like that and even if they caught them nothing would happen anyway , If you have an idea who it is get a bunch of your friends abit of equipment and go kick there door in and worn them if it happens again it will go to the next level .

Could you adapt the occ to drain the catched oil back into the system some how so you wouldn't have to keep draining it or is this a no no due to contaminates ???
