  1. Took my GT4 to Alex F. Noble in Loanhead for servicing (just outside Edinburgh) - paid £500 for a P2 service, and they reported back that all brakes needed replacing ASAP. Gave me the impression the brakes were so bad I shouldn't have been driving the car. Nobles quoted an astronomical sum for doing the job, so I came onto the forum here and got an excellent tip off for parts from Cougar Store (which arrived super quick). Took the car to a local mechanic to get the new brakes fitted yesterday - only to be told that there was "at least a year" of use left in the old brakes!! The mechanic (a very experienced guy) said that (at most) all the car needed was a set of back pads. Feel sure Nobles are trying to create work for themselves... grrr. Oh - and BTW - saw the owner of the dealership cruising in his Alfa Romeo 8C the other day... wonder how he can afford that, eh??
  2. Evening, all. Got the Zed back from Nissan after major service... I'm told the n/s bank of the engine, the rocker cover is leaking oil into plug No 6... Anyone else had this.? The fix - - a new rocker cover will fix it according to the garage... _ Price Please £300 - - i nearly fell over. I've ordered from the web two rocker cover gaksets, they might work.. But at this point in time, gaskets are cheaper than 1 cover.. If it doesn't work, then a new cover it is.. Your experiences. Si GT4 in UY - 124
  3. We've just had ours back from the garage after major service (ouch) Our car, the rocker cover gasket is split and is leaking.. You cant buy a gasket but you can get a whole rocker cover for about £300 fitted from Nissan... Wee buggers... Ours is leaking from the nearside of the engine.. Might help. Si
  4. Ours did that after sitting for a week or so. Took it out on one of the hottest days last week. After a wee bit shopping, heading home and low and behold ours did the same... About 20mins later and alot of pedal lifting incase i burnt the clutch the pedal was fine.. Never had an issue since. It had a major service today (ouch) which included bleeding and putting new fluid in... The garage only heard one other motor doing the same and they couldn't fault it... Ours was checked today and again couldn't be faulted... It was a 20 min glitch.. Still great car though... Simboy

Checked the car over and all seems in order, but as with every car what am I to keep an eye on or look out for throughout my ownership? Look forward to any advice etc frm fellow 350 owners. Simboy
