  1. Morning everyone. My wife and I owned a Yellow GT4 a few years ago and stupidly sold it on. It was number 124, does anyone here have it. Hows it going and could you post some piccies. Thanks Simon and Yvonne
  2. Anyone selling a GT4-fancy another one.. Si
  3. Thanks for the tip, Payco - it's a stunner! Sadly, a little bit more than we're hoping to spend but does look a good 'un.
  4. Sun's shining, garage is empty... time has come to start the search for a replacement for our much loved yellow 350Z GT4 (sold 18 months ago and regretted ever since). Just wondering what's on offer at the moment out there? Must be a bit of a head-turner to match up to the last one!
  5. So you prefer the 350 over the 370. Interesting. We've talked about buying another GT4 or a really nice 350GT over a 370, but I'm pushing more for the later. Given there's not so many 70's around for test driving this will be a long hunt. We've got out eye on a couple down in Englandshire. S
  6. Thankfully her in doors is behind me on this, and she is the one who's getting rid of her car to hopefully assist with the purchase (phew), its worth more than mine, for sure.. So Auto - still out on the colour, im heading for the blue, but she wanted the GT4 and it had to be yellow, so i may not win this battle, but what ever the outcome we'll be back in a zed.. Ive missed playing in the 350.. I popped into the local Nissan dealer yesterday, who are also GTR dealers, they looked after our Juke and 350, they were complimentary on the 370, saying they never have issues, just like our old "4" but did say they were a bit more fun, where the 350 was a bit civilised.. Im sure 370 owners will be able to confirm if that quotes correct or not. It really doesnt matter, just looking forward to getting one now.. Fingers crossed. There's a black one close to me for sale, a private sale but we're more inclined to go via a garage for that extra piece of mind... Si
  7. Well, after selling our yellow GT4 back at New Year we've had a wee chat and now on the hunt for the right 370z. Yellow or White, I want blue one but we're still in discussions. Next - gearbox, I'm thinking Auto this time. So, our old GT4 was very reliable, I'm hoping a 370 will be just the same. What am I to look for. I know it has to have a full history and check for crash damage etc, what other things. Cheers Me n Her
  8. Fingers crossed the pass side is fine for the next week while.. But it is a pain in the rear end the motor issue.. Si
  9. Well, its taken me along time to get round to getting this done.. Tiz finally done.. New (second hand) drivers window motor fitted and working perfectly.. I gave it a clean out as there was alot of carbon within the motor from the brushes, so its all clean and working (fingers crossed) perfectly... I can now get in and out of my car park without having to open the door and wave my pass frantickly to get into the carpark.. Si
  10. Thanks. Ill have a lookie. Si
  11. Well I don't live in the country but there's lots of fields and hills close by.. 40 ain't too old but her indoors being a similar age defo helps being on the policy.. Even when she used to insure it with me on the policy it was always around 210/220 at most. We are with Admiral. I am trying that multi car policy where I got a couple of pound off. Oh and it's garaged, but then who's gonna wanna pinch a bright yellow 350z, apart from the colour criminals want more seats hence the reason scoobies are a little more expensive.. Hay Ho. It's the only positive to getting grey n bald Si (Now to fix the leccie window motor)
  12. Well the window has been playing silly beggars in the last few weeks.. I got the Nissan dealer to look at it when replacing a suspension arm, they've said it's the motor but at the money they're asking I've sourced a motor and am considering trying to fit one Saturday morning.. So How easy is it to do and because the window lowers and lifts on entering and exiting the car, is there anything I need to do or remember when attempting this.. Does the window need programmed for the drop n lift? I want an opening window in this nice weather Si Si
  13. I think there's a few errors http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=27940 But it's still a great car Si
  14. Well that's me decided to keep the yellow beastie for another year.. Insurance with the wife on £180 all in.. It pays to be old Si
  15. I managed to sell my old 390SE easily, probably because of the rarity value, my 400SE is just as rare. Hopefully I can sell this one too.. The wife's fighting me to keep the 350z, she just doesn't want it to go.. We will see... Si
  16. The Chim sounds nice.. I've had a couple of wedges now and they sound awesome, nowt quite like them... I'm on the verge or selling but I have the "do I, don't I" thing going on...
  17. Evening theheff, we originally went to see a Kuro Black GT4, but it was sold so as this yellow one was also there and a wee bit rarer we bought it.. It does everything you want of a sports car, reliably. The yellow also get you a lot of looks, all good ones too.. Si
  18. Here's a wee clip of my old TVR 4.0 V8.. Now the V6 GT4 sounds good but not this good.. Crank it up.. Si
  19. Evening all, ive not been on the forum in ages.. I mean a while, but i thought i would post a wee piccie of our GT4 Me and Her are in discussions, on whether to keep it or sell it.. Not sure, jury is out.. If my old TVR Wedge goes in the next week or so then it'll get a reprieve.. Its mint, full history and wants for nothing.. Low miles too, but we do use it and when ever i can it get out and the cob webs are blown off. The only mod is, a few months ago the back box was corroded so i bought a full stainless system, nothing too noisy but enough to let folks know im in a 350z... The TVR is still wayyyyy louder Si
  20. Well her indoors is thinking of selling her UY, no 124.. Watch the classifieds.. 50k, bog standard apart from the zorst and a full Nissan history.. We're just not using it enough.. It will be missed, coz it does turn heads.. Si
  21. We have a yellow GT4. No 124. Owned since 14.2.2010.. Very nice. Now sitting with 50k on the clock.. It's standard apart from a new zorst which was fitted 2 weeks ago after the original rotted through at the usual bit. Still enjoying it. We've won a few show n shine medals with it. It wins where my rare TVR (green one) doesn't and the TIV in my opinion is a far nicer looking and sounding car and just as rare. Si
  22. I didn't want to post a pic of a standard GT zorst, we all know what they look like, straight from the factory... But if someone fancies it PM me and I'll send an image... Also, the iPad won't upload images. Si
  23. afternoon all.. well finally got our zorst changed for a nice stainless system from the cats back.. looks and sounds nice.. QUESTION IS -our original back box is fine, it was the flange on the centre section that had rusted so if anyone requires a spare original nissan back box in great condition then PM me.. Its a local pick up only.. Its way to big to post... Cheers Si
  24. Thanks for the reply. Now I have ballasts to worry about. What's and where r they and how do you check I its the ballast. Dam Car.
  25. Morning all. We have a GT4. A headllamp stopped working last night. What kind of bulb do we need and how easy is it to change. The light emitted from the headlamps is a whitish-blue. I'm taking it they aren't standard halogen and are possibly HID or something. Interestingly I called local Nissan dealer who quoted £132 for ONE bulb. 1 bulb My old toy Capri headlamp halogen bulb was £6 Why Oh Why do Nissan want to much, they don't emit a gold light! Any help and words of advice. Cheers Si.
