  1. Hey again guys, still looking and trying to sell my car at the same time. Can anyone offer any advice on this one? Looks good and is a pretty good price...... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... ?logcode=p
  2. Don't say that! That just makes it worse. Mileage doesn't bother me in the slightest, so I think I'm at the stage now where I'll ring round a few dealers, see if anyone will give a decent enough price for my car to make this a goer.
  3. Yeah I know. I've got a nasty feeling that I'll end up having to part ex it at a garage as it seems like I'm just not going to sell it. Alternatively, I'll get in touch with a few dealers and see if they'll buy it for cash. It's very frustrating.
  4. I'm still interested (spoke to you via e-mail a couple of months ago), but my Alfa is stubbornly refusing to generate any interest! Very frsutrating as this nails everything I want!
  5. Thread resurrection ahoy...... If anyone is considereing an Alfa then please try out the GT V6 or the 147 GTA as well as the Brera. The GM sourced Brera V6 simply isn't in the same league as the genuine Arese ones found in the other two. They are all down on performance compared to other cars in the same bracket but those engines are simply the best sounding V6's you can buy, and they're so visceral - big, snarling, rumbling brutes. There's no better engine. P.S - I've got to stop talking about Alfa Romeo's on a 350Z forum, it's getting desperate.
  6. You should see it over on the Alfa owner forum that I go on - it's a complete gush fest about this car at the moment. It is gorgeous, though at 40k it is going up against some serious competition (Cayman and TT RS spring to mind). I loves me an Alfa, but despite their good looks, you can't deny that dynamically they aren't particularly competitive at the moment.
  7. Cool number plate first of all!! Secondly, great looking Zed. The second picture looks so shiny it makes me think you may have had it professionally detailed? If not, then serious kudo's! I own an Alfa GT at the moment, which is a really good looking car, but my personal theory is that if Alfa Romeo made the Zed then the motoring press would instantly start gushing over it's good looks. It's such an under rated car in that respect. But of course, if Alfa made the Zed then it would also be rubbish.
  8. It's down as 38000 miles on the advert, and I queried that at test drive when it was saying 60000 something, but apparently that's in km's covering it's time in the East and over here. I assume that's fair? The wheels do look good, though intruth I'd say they'd need a refurb at some point as they aren't in perfect nick when you get up close (I like nice wheels!). One thing that worries me about JDM's is the underseal issue. Is it important that it's had it done? It was imported in 2007 so has faced a few winters. Also asked about the tax (they said they just put 6 months on it as part of the price), and that was a reasonable band K. Thanks for the welcomes (back) too everyone.
  9. None of you will remember me as I came and went pretty quick but I was within a hair's breadth of buying a Zed this time last year but at the last minute went a different route and got an...... Alfa Romeo GT. Wonderful in every way except the ones that actually matter when you're trying to get from A to B. Quite frankly it's spent far too long doing what Alfa's do best, which is sit on my drive or in the dealership looking very pretty and not doing an awful lot of anything else. Anyway, after yet more problems, the Alfa is going and the only thing I'll be replacing it with is a Zed. Whether that'll be straight away or in a few months when I've recovered from the hassle of Alfa ownership I'm not sure, but I test drove this bad boy JDM the other day and it's a good examply (felt tight as a drum) with low mileage for a very low price so I may jump straight into it. http://www.apollocarsofwhitchurch.co.uk ... 5378871045 Any thoughts on the car would be appreciated!
  10. Just been flicking through the Top Gear buyers directory and in there its stated that tax bands are being backdated to 2001; quoted from the magazine, page 7 "Don't forget, the Government will be increasing road tax from April 2010 and backdating it to cars registered after 2001". Can anyone confirm this? Bad news if its true!
  11. Well I'm looking for one at the moment and that ticks all the boxes to be honest. The only thing I can think of is your location, it's a long way for a lot of people. It's a good price, that can't be the problem.
  12. Cool, cheers for the reply mate, it looked like a well looked after car so thought it may be someone on here! Cheers for the offer, don't want to take up your weekend though! If you're bored and have a half hour to kill though, then it would be great to see it.
  13. Saw a beautiful purple (don't know the 'proper' name of the colour sorry ) Roadster driving down Peppermint drive the other day when I was walking my dog. If you live round here, I'd love a nose round your car!
  14. Bluerat: I'm PMing you with a few questions.
