  1. That Z looks lovely, id just keep it that way, personally dont like modded bumpers! Bit tacky!

Nice of you to say mate! I really like my car but want to be a bit unique - its only tacky if you pick the wrong things or are cheap ass!

I love the way it looks at the moment but it is your Z! By the way dude, where did you get the red brembo calipers? They look sweet!

  2. My mate got his bike tested on the weekend on a dyno and said it came out at 90 hp, hes meant to have 107...

I said was the figure at the wheel or flywheel....

he then said at the flywheel, I said that seems a little low for your bike etc...

But before I could discuss any more a colleague of mine said NO, all European vehicles are quoted HP at the wheel. I said that's not the case but hes like only the Americans quote the actual HP of the engine... so back me up guys here, i need to get my argument straight before i go telling him hes not right, or am I wrong?

I always thought that manufacturers quote the HP at the flywheel and on a dyno you get both figures for wheel horsepower and an estimate of the flywheel HP over like 3 runs or so?

  3. I saw a converted 350z and it could use petrol too, so that means, no congestion charge... so you get all the benefits with no downs?

Not too bad an idea... specially for a Londoner like me.

Not a bad idea if your a Londoner. But then again why get a 350z if your worried about petrol?

LPG cars HAVE to use petrol for the first 2 - 3 (min) miles after start up. If you have a short commute it's not worth it. Remember that LPG gets a minimum of 10% less MPG on LPG. This fiqure is more likely to be 15-20% though.

LPG has it place.... and that's in V8 jeeps.

Yes agreed... BUT... if your paying 8 quid congestion charge for half of the year thats hmm... 8x 183 (or so) = £1464 potential saving of 1.5k a year on congestion charge alone... as i said.... for a londoner it MAY have its place but as i went on to say 350z is a sports car...

  5. I remember somebody posting up a vid of a ridiculous 350z something like 800whp and when on the motorway the 350z would get tail happy even at like 70mph, wanted to show a friend but cant seem to find it.... anybody? It was a you-tube vid.

  6. You can never know what police are going to be driving these days, I even saw a police woman in a unmarked ford galaxy!

Not worth losing your license! Just have fun getting to 70 then chill.

  7. Where is the actual owner of the punto then?

Any news with the police... it shouldn't take that long to do a check on a car, it can be done via radio!

They don't hesitate to radio check when they wanna nick you for going 3mph over the limit!

  8. Oh yes, i learnt alot from my previous car lol.... i didnt realise id need a new alternator + battery amongst other stuff...

Bought the sub first, thought about it later!

Ended up paying £150 on cabling £200 Alternator £150 Battery and then £200 dynamat because everything vibrated.... Fuses... Another amp for comps... the list went on and on!

    So many hidden costs!

I know what im getting in to this time!

And ofc i will be getting an amp to run comps, that would be madness with a beast of a sub not to have a proper set-up on comps.
