  1. I think it's the 'Eplica' bit..........

So the problem is that he missed an 'R' out of the word replica?? :headhurt:

From what I can see, it's just a 520d and it has M5 bodykit on it. He states that the bodykit is original and not replica......whats the big deal? :)

Sigh - it's not a big deal. The strangest thing is it's actually filed under M5's when it should be under 5 series. I was just continuing the long tradition on the forum of picking apart silly ad's. The 'eplica' observation was in addition to this and not the focus of my comment.

  2. Car traders and estate agents are a different breed. A sweeping generalisation I know but one I've found to be generally true....

Also, in our experience of having estate agents through the door, most of them seem to be severely challenged in the height department and have REALLY SMALL HANDS!

We should do a poll of the most irritating professions. I've got :

    Traffice wardens

    Estate agents

    Car salespeople

    Telesales people

    Any salespeople.....

Sorry for the hijack and no offence to salespeople who drive a Zed, they must be alright :surrender:

You should be sorry - a salesperson started this thread! :boxing::lol:

  3. Build one for the cubby! It's what I did, bit of MDF, black felt and some double sided sticky stuff.

It's a perfect fit and I just pop my iPhone into everytime I get in the car, connects to my headunit and charges it! Use it for satnav as well which is handy. I've got some photos somewhere if I can find them, it's hard trying to take a photograph of your iPhone in it's own holder.

Nice suggestion, however you clearly don't know how crap I am with DIY. 96% chance of me nailing myself to the interior of the Zed!

  4. As the name suggests, I'm looking for a good cradle for my iPhone 4. Must fit the following two needs:

    - Attach to the air vent to left of steering wheel, just to the right of the cubby hole. This is because my AV line-in run out the cubby.

    - Not require any drilling or other actions likely to ruin the dash (or cause fatal injuries to me)

    - Grip the phone well. Bought one from Halfrauds at the weekend and it doesnt hold properly so it slips around all over the shop.

    Thanks peeps!

  5. Got a sodding great lump on the top of my head after the boot dropped and twatted me one. It hurts, a lot!

Remember seeing something about getting the struts re-gassed / replaced. Anyone recommend a good place to have this done?

  6. Let me start buy saying that anyone that ends up owning a members Zed is luck as they are guaranteed to end up with a fine, cared for like a baby, example of an automobile......

    Now to my point

...... However I've seen a lot of members cars for sale in recent months and can't help but think many are, well, massively unrealistic. Don't get me wrong, it kills me how much Zedz have devalued but reality is reality. Trust me I wish it wasn't so as I'll have to sell at some point.

So, am I the only one that thinks this?

  7. James B have you been to Andorra? How did you find it compared to other resorts if so? Reason i ask is that i found Tignes far too busy on the slopes.

Sorry to go off topic here.

Sorry to be slow to reply Ruddles. Yes, as it happens Andorra was where I did my instructors.

I loved it! It's really a question of what you're looking for, how much you have to spend and when you go. Any resort is going to be busy in holidays and particularly half-term time is chaos. More than twice the price and everywhere is packed. Not my idea of fun!

Andorra is a lot LOT cheaper than Tignes. It's further south and not as high so it's not as snow sure but you can't forecast the weather 100%, there's always some luck. Andorran resorts (particualrly Pas and Soldeu) are almost entirely British so if you expect some culture then you're in the wrong place. Lots of Apres ski though so a party hard attitude is a bonus if you're there.

So overall re it being busy, can't say for sure but it's likely it was a case of when, not where.

  8. im getting angry just reading this thread.

Tractors is another one for me... i have to drive down an A-road for 12 miles every day for my daily commute, and 4 days out of five i'll be stuck in a 30 car queue behind a tractor at 8.50am. If i was a farmer i'd wait till after 9am before going out on the road.

Tricky one because as annoying as they are the chaps on a tractor are just doing a job too. Having said that them going on the roads between 8-9am and 5-6pm are brain bendingly selfish!

  9. In a car

The elderly, sorry to be down on the seniors (again) but for Christ sake. Why do they need to add misery to the daily commute, by insisting on the "DAILY" trip to Tescos between 7 & 9 am. They have ALL F**KING DAY to do this!!

    +1

If your physical and mental ability mean you don't feel confident driving at the speed limit, then you shouldn't be driving at all!

  10. OK guys I need help. I've finally decided to get a personal plate but a while back I saw a thread where everyone said which website they had used. One of the smaller ones was great, I think it was in Wales even.

Anyway it had a great choice and good prices but I can't remember the website and can't locate the old thread. So.... can anyone thats got a personal plate post here where they got it from?

    Many thanks!

  11. A common problem and one I had. Most likely the contacts on the window motor need cleaning. There's a guide on here so I'd search for that, although I'm sure a helpful member will be able to link it for you.

Took me an hour and a hald to do and I'm fairly clueless.

  12. Always wanted to ask - what's it like driving the ring? Always been scared that it would be hundreds of radicals and bikes buzzing past me so a degree I didn't even feel confident to give it any, constantly looking in the mirror.

    Is that accurate or unfair?
