  1. The car is a 54 uk gt. I seem to remember that I cant reprogramme for one click to open both. To be honest i wish i could - the amount of times ive left my girlfreind stood in the rain... In fact thats the only thing she doesnt like about the car - that and the heavy clutch. @Fodder - yep quad click action is required for both doors to unlock. This is actually using my spare key - i swapped this morning as I couldnt unlock it but it didnt help. I bought two batteries so i will change the 'normal' key too and see if thats ok. I have found the reprogramme guide so if all else fails I will try to reprogramme one of the keys to see if that helps. Its very odd that its come on all of a sudden - but i think my spare may have already had a low battery - but this doesnt explain why the new battery didnt fix it? Very strange indeed...
  2. Hi all, I had my zed for nearly three years now and i began to notice the range of the fob was begining to reduce (or so it thought). However, i noticed that the fob would hapilly lock the car but not unlock the car? I have replaced the battery expecting all to be well. But, the keyfob is the same. 1 Click Lock - Car Locks. 1 Click Unlock - Nothing. Now after a bit of tinkering I have found that if i double click the unlock button it will unlock the car (only the drivers side). If I double click and then double click again it will unlock both sides. I think i may be losing my mind but it should only be one click for drivers and another for passenger shouldnt it? Or have i always double clicked but forgotten? Im sure i didnt have to press the button four times to unlock both doors? So in short everything works well - but i think i have to click more? Any help would be great. Alastair
  3. Toon Chris i have pm'd you. There are a couple of scorpion ones on fleabay at £332 im guessing they wouldnt be in stock even though they say they are? Cheers for the comments guys.
  4. Im after an oem exhaust to replace my rusted one. I need the cat back system. Im sure somebody has one laying around? PM me with details... I will hopefully collect and pay cash. Regards Alastair
  5. Gents, Got into my car today and sparked her up - only to realise she sounded like a jet aircraft. Upon inspection i have a heavily corroded joint between the back box and centre section that has come apart. The centre section is the piece that has failed but i thing the actual connection on the backbox looks too far gone too. My question is... What do i buy? I need an exhaust as quickly as possible. Im not really a fan of super loud exhausts and i would say i liked her the way she was with the standard system. Can you reccommend what i should buy. Obviously the cheaper the better! Cheers Alastair
  6. Guys, I have been thinking of having my Zed professionally detailed since i bought it back in november. The nice weather made my mind up and i decided to use a company called deep-shine who operate around the lincoln area. All i can say is WOW... The finish Adi gave to my car was simply amazing. My car was already quite 'clean' but i never knew what true perfection looks like. He forwarded me this link, its a step by step blow of what he did on the car. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10647 If anyone is thinking of pampering their Zed i would highly recommend this guy, he works like an animal!!! He will come to you also! Enjoy the photos.....
  7. Yep you've gotta love the Zed. I just can't get over the attention the car gets? People actually go out of their way to see what the car is. I was filling up the other day and an elederly lady was rushing to put her glasses on so she could read the 'nissan' badge while loudly discussing the 'beautiful' car with her partner. I think the Zed has the shape and stance of a much more expensive car, with a driving experience to match. Driving down my local highstreet is a blast. Ive even had people i dont know wave at me?? People must be shocked when they realise its just a nissan... lol.... The change from my TT is honestly quite dramatic. Alastair
  8. Im in the same boat...... Its such a shame the bose didnt have an aux in facility. Im happy with the sound from it but i'd love to be able to connect my iPhone. I have decided to do without on the grounds that i like the look of OEM headunits over aftermarket and i like the phone kit and steering controls..... (Yes i know you can rewire the controls). TBH its got a six disk changer......... It only takes two mins to burn a disk.
  9. ??? My post seems to have been edited to remove the comment - i certainly didnt do that? I'm with admiral - Lucky to have a garage. Adding two additional old fogies brought it down loads. Its actually over £500 i was paying £475 for the TT and i had to pay an additional sum for the rest of the term. So its probably around about £600 for a year. Ive got 5yrs NCB.
  10. Those arches make it look like an old style porka!
  11. rtbiscuit, I agree with what youre saying in principle. I was just hoping to get away from the attitude on the TT forum - those guys think you need to be at least 30 as its an 'Audi' somehow me having one at 19 lowered its value..... On the flip side im not your run of the mill young lad. I like standard nice cars and im not into blasting everwhere i go! Anyway im loving the car. Nice to meet you Mr Biscuit
  12. That's an interesting analogy. However i cant help but think its slightly tainted with jealously...... Im 23 - got a 350 the other week and i love it. Before that i had a TT 225 Quattro for nearly four years. The 350 is indeed more powerful and slightly faster but in reality its not a rocket. Yeah i know its rear wheel drive but so is my old mans merc and my mates BMW. both over 200bhp. If your young and lucky - buy one. The older boys on here obviously dont like the thought of a youngun having the same car. Edit - and im obviously lucky in the post code lotto. I pay under £500 for insurance.
  13. I would defo have a uk spec orange flip...... Where are the pics?
  14. Yeah the car is in fantastic condition. It's had one woman own it from new and its been garaged all its life. The paintwork and the leather are literally brand new. I cant get over the roar and power of the V6. Its honestly made my 225bhp tt feel like a milk float. All in all i cant fault it. (just need to get the mpg above 20 )
  15. Hi guys. Decided to sell the TT and buy a 350. Ive had it for nearly a week and im loving it. The V6 makes a nice change from a 1.8T. Heres a pic!
