OK. So went down to Nissan today.. They were very good in service as for start they kept asking if we would like any refreshments and dropped us off at the city centre while we waited for the car. The three issues were - the heated seat, tracking and strange noise when breaking. It turns out that the cold had caused an indent almost to the disc so they skimmed it down and now runs perfectly. (there is even photos supplied showing the good condition of the pads and discs which my local Arnold Clark Nissan dealership said needed renewed and at a cost of £700!!) The seat was given an astronomical price to fix and asked if we would be willing for a check instead to balance it out, so not all was lost. The tracking was sorted no problem and even gave us a full tank of petrol for the inconvenience of taking it down to them. So all in all, was pleased with the service and support that was offered.

Its a UK spec GT model, on a 53 so its the 287BHP model. Thanks for the replys guys, will try resetting the ECU to begin with and see how it goes!

Hey guys, today I went on the backroads up 10mins from where i live and put the foot down a little bit, I used to own another 350z about 2-3 years ago and this one seems slightly slower. The guy who owned it before me looked after it very well FNSH, low miles etc, what im wondering is if it has been reservly driven its whole or most of its life can after its performace, do you need to give it a little blast now and again? Or it is just me? Cheers guys!

Yeah, that makes more sense. But, before I try and buy anything the car is booked in for a week today, and apparently they are going to try and fix this problem, with a few little niggles in the one day. Will update on how it goes..

Thanks man, what I will do is wait till I find out what is happening when I head down south and if I have to pay for new parts I will get them through here and fit them myself (with some fourm assistance if possible )Will update once I have spoken to them again!

Yeah, I thought about buying parts though people on this forum, but would they allow me to source parts and they still fit them? I didnt think they would do that?

Update - It turns out that the car needs new discs and pads, and to do the work would be £700, thats what was said when we phoned Nissan Newcastle and spoke to the manager. He said no way and think that this Arnold Clark Nissan are at it, so want us to bring the car back down to be checked over by them If there is any consolation - they wioll pay the £70 for the hour it was at Nissan Arnold clark, and I think they will fix any issues once its been checked over at Newcastle.

Yeah, I will do, thanks for the advice guys! The car has FSH and only done 23k and said it was valeted and serviced, ready for colection.

Yeah, also something was mentioned about perhaps new brake pads and disc were needed, but surely when I buya car its should have has these things carried out in a service?

Sorry yeah, it was to do with the heated seats, but im not sure waht else has been found as the local Nissan dealership have said nothing regarding the problems, just that they were on the phone to Nissan Newcastle and now want the car back,, is it to save on labour etc? Its confusing and frustrating!

Change of plans now. Today I got a contact from Nissan local, that the place in Newcastle that said "if there were any issues take it locally and they would pay for it", are now (after speaking to the Nissan dealship we took it to) wanting the car back down there. So im guessing they want the car down in Newcastle to sort any issues themselfs aas my local dealership have now found some problems. Not to mention having to pay the £70 for an hours labour while they checked the car. Can you guys advise what to say when I contact Nissan Newcastle tommorrow about these issues? Thanks guys, RIJ

thanks for the reply. But it is a 53 plate 350z so its a 12month warranty from being out of "official" warranty. Do you mean it should still be covered in this type of warranty?

Hye guys, the car is currently at nissan getting a run though various issues. The one that im having the most curiousity over is the heated driver seat. It is not working but it is not a fuse causing this (it was checked and ruled out). Do you guys know what might be needed done to sort this and how much its likely to cost, as but he 12montth warrenty put on by NIssan doesnt cover electrics cheers, RIJ

Hey guys, I recently picked up my new Z (will get photos once the weather is better), anyways, tonight trying to get home in the snow and ice, there is a clicking noise when traction is on and the wheels start to spin, then when I got in my steet and having real difficulty turned the EPS off and it was making a ticking noise along with sounding like stones hitting the undercarriage. I have a 12 month warranty on the vehicle and it was going in over christmas to get the driver heated seat element and the tracking fixed. What I want to do now is find out if this is an ESP issue or whatever so it can be rectified when going in around/after christmas. Thanks guys. RIJ

Hey guys, well first off the private plate reg is finally done, so will be heading down to Newcastle to pick her up on saturday. What I was wondering is that the car is referred to as "sunset red" according to the details. I went on autotrader and under the red section for colour there are a few orange 350's and are called "sunset red" for colour, why is this? Thanks guys, RIJ
