    yes Runflats- I found that the give a firmer ride, not unpleasantly so. 245 45 18

    Pilotsport3 seem to do well: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/2010-Auto-Express-Ultra-High-Performance-Tyre-Test.htm my RE050s are just worn -only reason for changing. I used to find RE040s a bit too jittery- traction kept cutting in.

    I wrongly assumed 3s were higher up range than 2s, and I'll be going from 050s. not to worry- worth trying out for the difference anyway

    Thanks, Its actually just cos I had the gearknob changed- so probably with the new one I can hear the washer vibrating inside the gearknob, that's all. My mechanic asked me to check whether Gearbox and rear axle oil level are to be checked at 36k as he'd need to get it up on a level to properly check
