  1. Alright boys? Just a quick one to gather a bit of feedback. The good lady is expecting our first which is great news. but I didn't start thinking along the lines of selling my pride and Joy until i was watching the numbers fly round on the petrol pump this morning. Trouble being, my car is somewhat of an un-finished project. I bought her last year after searching for about 4 months. she ticked all the boxes. Ultra yellow GT4, Blended Nismo body kit, carbon fibre spoiler, carbon fibre front splitter (which i think is Seibon but don't quote me), Full Closure cat 1 Clifford security system, Low mileage etc etc. Anyway my point is she was a beauty, and since i bought her she has only got prettier. I have so far bought new Eibach PRO-KIT springs to lower her 30mm, along with 20 inch Jade-R alloy wheels with Eibach spacers to fill the arches properly. Now for the complicated bits... my rear brakes needed replacing a few months back so instead of getting raped by nissan i spoke to my good man CS and bought some EBC turbo grooved discs and EBC yellowstuff brake pads. which have been fitted and look great, however the front brakes are still standard. I was planning on putting the same EBC set up at the front but was obviously going to wait til the standard ones were finished, which is not going to be for a while. Everything that has been removed from the car i still have like the sought after original GT4 alloys. i was also planning on having these refurbed and popping them on ebay as they seem to fetch a pretty penny. just taken these snaps outside in horrible weather, will try and take some more next time the sun shines, as she looks like a different car in bright weather. flakey yellow paint and all that, really sparkly! The pics.
  2. Hi mate, Just for more reassurance... I have 8.5 x 20 et35 at the front and 9.5 x 20 et20s at the rear. I also have 20mm eibach spacers at the front and have no problems with the traction control system.

sasha, worked like a charm thanks very much. heres the damage, and yes i do beleive it will all need repainting, which could be alot of work due to the nismo spoiler with carbon fibre wing... its all going to have to come off

well the bodywork was done by a place in swansea, and unsurprisingly they aren't in business anymore. its going to leave a hell of a mess on the back there. you have to see it to believe it, i'm determined to put a picture up at some point this afternoon

    Rear Badges

Ok so it turns out, half of the Z had been snapped off by some hoodlums outside the missus house over the weekend. what the little buggers are achieving by taking my Z is anybodies guess, but it just means i have been pushed into removing the badges. However, upon taking off the '350Z' it reveals that the people who did the body and paintwork have stuck the badge back on with superglue. yes that's right, actual superglue. so i now have 350Z written on the back of the motor with superglue. does anyone know how to separate superglue from paintwork?? i would upload a picture, but since upgrading to windows 7 i have no re-size tool for my photos

hmmm, might need a little more persuasion from someone who's had some off, i'm also on the look out for some decent badges too if anyone knows anywhere good to get some. wouldnt mind a cheeky GT or GT4 badge on there

Alright guys, Does anyone know if there are holes behind the rear badges?! i need to take mine off again, due to the idiots at the painters putting the Z on upside down. if there's no holes behind there, il have them heated off and sorted asap, if there is, then it might get a bit more complicated
  9. Ah i see, i am familiar with forced induction, kinda missed what you meant somehow. clearly your a bit of a speedfreak, where as i am more show than go. im 26 so it isnt easy to afford to drive of these gorgeous machines, let alone bodykit the bugger and put 20" wheels on. but exterior mods only need paying for once, but engine mods make my insurance even more rediculous, aswell as making people think the cars been ragged when i come to sell. thats the whole reason i didnt buy an Evo 9 i couldnt find a standard one so was never comfortable when they told me the car had been well looked after. i know its not always the case, but im sure you know what im talking about. however, while on the subject, whats the best way to get more Bhp for the least $$$ i do want a new exhaust system as it happens
  10. Whoa Whoa Whoa, heres me heaping praise like you did this all yourself, when in actual fact you had Thing from the Addams family halping out?!
  11. as far as the offsets go i am still pretty clueless, but she drives like a dream so i'm blissfully ignorant. and I am pretty good with car mods/lingo once i have done or heard them once, but all the abbreviations that get chucked around on here i am struggling to keep up with! what is an SC or FI setup when its at home?? and the other mods i would love to do are getting some kind of seat re-trim with yellow inserts to match the exterior, alog with a more aggresive bonnet of some sort, and the stereo setup. but as far as i can tell with the original stereo and speakers, its a big old project to change it
  12. Just read through your thread mate, your an absolute hero. i do have a cheeky little heat gun so i may have a little play with some interior items first, such as the steering wheel bits i saw on your thread. is it really as easy as you make it look? do you get any peeling after its been on a while? what adhesive you using on there?
  13. Oh my goodness. what a story, and what an end product. great reading, and it makes me feel all warm inside knowing exactly how much you will appreciate the car, due to all the hard work you have put into it. your an inspiration sir! there are plenty of people with loadsa cash who just throw money at their cars and they end up looking vulgar, but this is class all the way through. i want it all on my car! especially loving the little tasteful touches, like the red painted gaiter surrounds and the Z badges. very well done mate
  14. my god is that your car in your signiture?! you must have more money than the wife knows about mate. where can i see more pictures of that divorce-waiting-to-happen???
  15. yeah still got the GT4's mate, theyre in need of a refurb though which is why they ended up being replaced. they tryes on them still have a bit of life too if your interested?
  16. ok that roof looks pretty cool, is that a Z? anyone got any idea of pricing? time scale?
  17. Hmmm, Cant find anything to do with IIRC Shire, but theres plenty of info on CF vinyl wraps, alot of people saying it doesnt look close enough to the real thing to bother. nice idea though, i have a customer with a matt black C63 AMG and it looks amazing. also saw some pictures of the In-Phase audio 350z with the carbon wrap and i have to say its very tempting. the main reason i was looking at the carbon bonnet though, was because the gap on the front of the original is pretty awful. i know the gap is bad on all the 350's but when she's yellow it stands out slightly more with the black line going through it. its also slightly bigger on one side aswell. but anyways, if anyone has any pictures of the black pearl badges that would be much appreciated?
  18. Black pearl badges? and when you say CF roof wrap, are you on about the vinyl wrapping? do they do carbon fibre??
  19. I was thinking one of these maybe? http://www.seiboncarbon-uk.com/pdut_det ... ItemID=323
  20. OK boys, Front spacers and Eibach springs Pro-kit is now on, ideas & suggestions for the next modification?!
  21. boom boom indeed! well im going to have to run the nissan pads on the front for at least a month as the moneys run out! il let you know if it's a problem when i found out, hopefully not the hard way
  22. well i ordered front pads from nissan through this garage a couple of weeks back so they have already been fitted, so i will do those next time theyre due, but as for the rears i am desperate for them as of now. so all you guys reading this who know what theyre talking about recommend the EBC Turbo groove discs & Ferodo DS2500 pads for the rear? if ive got that right i need them asap!!! lol, what would i do without you guys
  23. ok this is all sounding pretty good. what sort of money am i looking at for the rear pads and discs from EBC if anyone knows?
  24. Hi guys, as some of you know i have a 2005 GT4 and i have just taken her in as the handbrake was playing up. the garage, who i do trust, has informed me, my rear discs and pads all need replacing, with discs costing 187 quid each from nissan and pads are also rediculously expensive. there is also a fitting kit involved somewhere aswell. total bill 768 quid. is there anyone on here who knows where i can get these bits at a more reasonable price?! they are waiting for me to call back and confirm before ordering today
  25. Count me in. Im still a little unsure of the procedure though? I did look at camping for the night but the minimum stay is 3 nights & that works out quite pricey and i only live 20minutes away. pointless paying all that cash when i only really want to be there one day & night. if i came for the saturday would i be able to park up with all the other Z's? this will be my first show with this car, looking forward to it!
