  1. Kauntan, Malaysia. Going past the Police HQ at somewhere near re-entry speed! Sounded so B) I’ve been here for few weeks now and it’s the first one I’ve seen. With a population of around 607,000 I have it on good authority that there are only 3 Zeds here! Everyone is a serious petrolhead though, there are no ‘standard’ cars here with some of them being quite tastefully done.

  2. I hope you don't mind me adding my own method?

Get a length of cat gut of whipping string.

Place under one of the corners of the badge, (or number plate)

Holding one end of the cord in each hand pull along using a sawing motion.

Both number plate and badge removal took 5 mins in total.

Another 5 was spent removing the tale residue.

No risk of chipping from knife or screwdriver.

This was shown to me by Ferrari dealership.

    Hope this helps

Spot on  Takes seconds to do in conjunction with a hot air gun and will not mark the paint, not even Nissan 'paint'

As for your new badges, take a real close look at the rear one and you'll see that the curvature of it is wrong. You can get around this but it'll involve removing the double sided adhesive foam, re-profiling the top and bottom of the badge...etc, etc. :headhurt:

  3. This is getting ridiculous, no one ever, ever sees my Zed  . I see Zed people all the time, the missus sees them, we wave frantically and no one ever, ever sees my Zed :console: It's not funny anymore...I’ve read the post “Little known things about the 350Z†and there’s no mention of how to turn off the cloaking device, if this continues the car will have to go  .

Now, now. :console: Maybe you haven't been in the right place at the right time. Is she nice and shiny so she's more noticeable?

I'm usually in the Zed when I see the other Zed's  And she is always nice n' shiny! Mdnightblue, Milltek, twin Stillen CAI, Mines carbon front splitter with freshly done Rays in Porche anthracite (20mm spacers) and badges.

I know how you feel. :console: No one see me either.

If its any consolation I think my missus sees you occasionally. She does mention a dark blue Zed she sees on her daily commute from Downham Market to Dersingham. Could be you?

No, that's not me as my "occasional" commute would be from East Dereham to Gt Yarmouth.

Anyway, if you see loads of Zeds all the time, why is there only one post from you in this section of the forum???..... ;)

Check again... seen 2 today in Kuantan Malaysia and 1 last Wednesday in Singapore...but will admit I didn't post then  .

  5. There's now 4 at Marham alone!

  6. I agree its a common issue, my thoughts as to the reason are that the the size of the brake shoes that are actually on the inside of the rear discs are very small coupled with the fact that the 'drum' diameter is small... effectively the hub of the disc. so small drum, small shoes = poor handbrake, on the plus side the discs a great though!

+1 and well described  , pull the drums off and then you'll realise that you'd have more resistance if trying to pull a hen of its nest.

  7. night blue is that the one thats almost black or are we talking about azure blue?

if its azure have a look at Wasso's car i think he has gunmetal rays on his

Yep almost black, which is why I'm thinking the GM will look OK as oposed to Anthracite which will be too dark.

  8. I've done the search thing and it's well gone midnight now...

I've got a Night Blue with Rays and will be getting the wheels 'done' next week, I quite like the idea of Gunmetal (lighter than Anthracite) but can't find any pics to help me make up my mind. All I know is that I really don't want Silver.

    Anyone offer some advice please?

  9. My phone is the HTC Smart, I sent it away for repair as it wouldn't connect and was running so slow.

That model uses the obscure "Brew" OS rather than Android so can't really be compared to the other HTCs.

It also has a very slow processor so you're probably better off ditching it for something more mainstream and widely supported.

Thanks for all the info offered, ditched the HTC yesterday and bought a couple of (his 'n hers) Nokia N8's. No problems at all now.

  10. I think some need the back door open and some have an obvious dark glass panel. So you maybe in luck. I went past one on my bike once with the git aiming his equipment out the back door (bikes dont have a front plate :yahoo: ), as i came past him, he pulled the camera out of the back door and threw the side door open and aimed at my rear numberplate  gutted!

I think you'll find that the latest generation have a camera mounted on the side of the van, like a very small dome...it operates through 360 degrees and doesn't miss a damn thing, forwards, backwards etc.

  11. I also have a HTC Desire and have a problem. It used to connect but now it doesn't. It says its paired & connected to phone audio but cannot get anything. The Bose used to say Phone when it connected but don't even get that now. On the advice of Rich I unpaired the phone & then paired again, still nothing

Sorry for the delay in the follow up on this...I got married in between my origainal post and this reply!

My phone is the HTC Smart, I sent it away for repair as it wouldn't connect and was running so slow. As the above post from Maccaman the Bose says 'Phone' but will not connect, no sound no nothing! I'm close to giving up on it and putting it in the bin. I've no problems with other peoples phones...

  12. I've a HTC Smart phone and I'm experiencing problems in connecting to the cars Bluetooth system, the phone tells me 'connection made and paired' and the car goes to phone mode when I attempt to dial but nothing after that. No problems with my old Nokia...

I've done search for this but no joy, can anyone offer any advice please?

  13. If you want the V-twin experience, and if you're thinking Ducati then you do, I'd go for the Honda SP1/2. Build quality and reliability the rest just can't match, and that's not just the bits you can see. No cam BELTS like the 748 (not chains) to worry about as has gear driven cams, and the electrics don't pack in as soon as it looks like rain!

Seriously though, not the fastest or lightest by any margin, but then you do want to keep your licence don't you? It'll still do 80+ in first on standard gearing with 5 more to go.

My SP2 has been the 'best' bike I've owned in the last 30 years of riding, thats well over 60 bikes I've owned.

Currently has BST carbon wheels, Ti/carbon full race Akropovic system with R&G hangers, Durbahn carbon airbox, power commander 3r, Nitron race shock, Ohlins internals, braided lines, Brembo underslung rear caliper, Harris rearsets, CRG levers, Undertail, carbon hugger, HID headlights(ace!), Ti fasteners all round...the list is endless.

    Go take a test ride...
