Sold the car today it's leaving my garage for the last time on Monday sad to see it go I only covered 750miles in the car last year I have never cherished anything so much as this car, the neighbours could not believe how many times I washed it even in the hosepipe ban months.
I have the money now for my next car just need to find the colour/ trim combo I want.

Well sod's law just went to my car in storage and the battery's totaly dead It's the original battery so I'm going to replace it I had no tools to take the battery out or the larger of the battery covers to see what I need, anybody on here know the battery type number I need to get a replacement.

If you need a battery Bosch are a good make but I always buy Varta thre fitted on all high spec cars you could even but a battery from sorry to mention it 'Halfords' a calcium type with a 4 year warranty

if any available ?The 240Z was sold in the UK with Wolfrace Wheels does anybody remember that make? I have a set in my garage from my old 240z in fact I have nearly a complete car including engine, gearboxes, doors, bonnet etc all for sale to anybody restoring a 240Z.
The UK 240z was better looking than the American version we did not have the huge bumpers and orange side lights on the wings I have owned all the zed's to date 240z, 260z and 260z plus 2 when the 280 came out it lost its appeal!
Only pictures I got of my old Zed's are colour photographs and a very young me in them so can't put them up on here but I can of all the spares I recently sold a 240 restoration job on Ebay they were very prone to rust especially on the inner wings

A real shame and hope you get better.
I was going to advertise my car in the summer and look out for a Black Ltd edition to replace it, maybe I could try and do something now.

Riiiiiiiiight. You do realise that brace is still there, albeit hidden in the ragtop?
http://www.newsroom....le/491_1_5.aspx
That's Nissan's own press release. 'Sense of purpose' is the paragraph you're after. There's no roof, it's got a bit of extra bracing to try and account for this, but it's still not as stiff as the coupe.
yer ok Ekona, I'm not getting into a row about it

Ummm, yes there is. I upgraded to mine to the Eibach ones, so I know there definitely is an ARB at the rear! If there wasn't, then the car would leap around all over the pace as the two rear wheels tried to go in opposite directions at every bump. Unless you're referring to the strut bar across the suspension tops...
No chance the ragtop is a stiffer chassis than the coupe.
yes I was talking about the strut bar across the top, the chassis is substantially stronger than the coupe otherwise it would fold.
Mouldie,
I had my Roadster for sale last year then the deal fell through with a 370Z I still have the car wrapped in blankets in storage until the summer when I will get her out again. If your wanting a particular nice Roadster example I have a GT 56 model GM Silver with alezan (basket weave) seats only 21,000 miles still for sale I can email all the deatils and pictures of it if you like.

There's probabably a reason Zmanalex races a roadster and not a coupe it's because the chassis IS stiffer for handling that's why there is no rear anti roll bar across the back area.

just googled it and came up with this with free postage http://www.amazon.co...55939127&sr=8-1

well it ain't no real bargain is it

Did this car sell?
-
Yes, only about 3 brands to choose from Bridgestone £278. Goodyear £279 and Pirelli £270 there from Camskills then there's the postage and getting them fitted on the car most garages are quoting £330 a wheel supplied but if I must have them it's a no brainer I suppose.

phone up 'We buy anycar' that is what dealers are doing there not using Glasses Guide to value cars anymore .

Hi,
I'm just about to buy wifey a newer car for Christmas a BMW 325D Coupe Auto 57 plate I have had a good deal with the seller and he has agreed to pay for 2 new rear tyres as they have about 4mm left in them. I'm getting some money off the total price some £630 for the rears yes you did read that right they are 255/30/19 RunFlats that's what garages are quoting me for replacements. My problem is with the money should I buy these runflats or buy a complete set of 4 new quaility ordinary tyres and but a spare wheel I would like to know if the runflats are any much advantage to the car.
-
I got a price for a new door card only from Nissan for my 56 plate as my insurance where paying for it and they quoted £800
-
it should take about an hour to do it's a simple job, could even put these on the 370z

Sad to say I'm selling my much loved Nissan 350z Roadster/Convertable I have owned her for 3 years and it's only ever been used on sunny days in winter it's had it's coat on (Genuine 350z cover) and garaged needless to say the car is absolutly mint inside and out. It's had one previous owner who also only used it for special occassions. I had new Bridgestones fitted all round a few weeks back and they have done only 100 miles also while the wheels were off I had genuine Brembo brake pads fitted all round (Zmanalex).
The car has a long MOT and tax with all keys, manuals etc.
Here's her spec
Nissan GT 350z Roadster/Convertable Face lift model
Year 2006 (56) plate (UK Model)
Mileage 20,000 FNSH
GT Pack
Alezan Tan Leather Mesh seats ( factory optional extra)
Brembo Brakes
Bi-Xenon self leveling lights with power wash
Electric heated seats and mirrors.

Looking at getting a 370z very shortly so I thought I would test drive an automatic/paddle shift as I have been thinking about these for a long while. So went to my nearest Nissan Dealer which is Romford they sell not only the 370 but had a stock of GTR's as well so you would think they knew what they were talking about. As I wanted a used 370 they directed me to the used car forecourt where they had 2 370's a 60 plate Silver Auto and a 10 plate Black LTD edition again in auto. A young salesman jumped on me as soon as I looked into the window of one of them with his sale patter would you like a test drive sir, yes i would so I chose the LTD edition one only 13000 miles on her. While we done a bit of form filling 3 sales staff were in the office all telling me how great these cars were but none of them new the difference of the LTD version and the other one next to it so I should have sussed these guys new nothing about the 370 between them. Anyway I took the car out with my salesman in tow and got onto the A12 a nice stretch of road I could try out the paddle shift on but he did not have a clue how or if it should be activated.
So while I had the car in 'D' I held the plus+ paddle shift slightly and it engaged the paddle shifts but on pressing the throttle as the car got to higher revs it changed on it's own before I could use the paddles so what was I doing wrong or will the gearbox override the paddle system if it thinks the gear needs changing.
