  9. Ok The concept is great, we can change through the gears when we like, BUT! I always feel like the trans is kinda hurting when I change down epecially when driving hard. is the Fairlady Auto/Tiptronic box tough? or should I use with care...? Anybody know the limits/stats etc? Cheers.
  10. Thinking about a tasty Momo steering wheel for my Roadster, has anyone done away with the original steering wheel? and is there anything I need to know that could come in handy before getting the tools out? I beleive I have an airbag and when shopping online for my new wheel I noticed that the boss kit come in standard and Airbag so it seems it can be done. Thoughts & suggestions/advice wanted cheers
  11. I would get it up on a hoist ASAP and analyse from the manifold back also you could remove your strut brace/remove your plastic engine cover and check that all of the hoses and pipes are connected where they should be as there are quite a few breather pipes etc around the top of the engine, it's just easier to see them all with the cover off, Good luck I hope it's nothing too serious
  12. Just fitted a set of Denso Iridium's Sorry if this is a repost! but just wanted to know if anyone can ellaborate on the benefits/pro's & Cons of Iridiums? The car feels a wee bit smoother to start not much more different apart from that, but the NGK R's that I pulled out seemed to be quite well worn and the white ceramic part of some of the plugs looked a bit brownish/burnt right at the bottom, what does this mean other than the plugs are old and ready to be replaced? Cheers!
  13. Thats a handy one to know!, I just checkd mine, the white tag on mine is at the bottom hinge at the bottom of the seat (must be different on Roadster's) but yes it said 2003 so there it is! Cheers!
  14. Still not 100% I would like to think it is an 05 but would like to find out for sure
  15. Hi Can I simply add the URL from my photobucket folder so that members can veiw my pics? or is there another way of allowing this?
  16. OK so I have this Import Fairlady Z Roadster and I would like to get closure on exactly what year of manufacture it is I have been told it's an 03 model and I've been told it's an 05 model Does anyone know how to tell via the spec plate under the bonnet? I see a code (Z33) but not sure what it means. I was told that it first entered the UK last year and it is on a 53 (first part of the reg is FB53) when I search online for the first build date of the Fairlady Z Roadster I get nothing but info on the 05! It's melting my head!! can anyone advise? Cheers
  17. So if I'm reading this correctly the Import that is 'fully' optioned is classes as an ST?
  18. Interesting info guys, Thanks for this!
  19. Thanks for that, I didn't realisr that the snow button works like a rev limiter, I put it on once and the car felt like a tractor!
  20. Hi Got an Import Fairlady Z Roadster I would like to know exactly what the Snow/Power button does Can anyone explain? I can imagine roughly what the buttons are for but a techy explanation would be great if anyone knows? Cheers
  21. Thanks guys Yeh I returned about 25 mins later and you'd all buggered off! LOL! I was ragin I missed the cruise but next time I'll be there. I feel a wee bit shyte at the fact that I haven't put any blood sweat and tears into building this car up from standard like you all have but trust me I have spend LOTS of money on other cars in my life in the past mainly in OZ so to buy one that has been fiddled up already is quite a nice change for me however nowing me I will keep throwing money at it to make it even better, BTW for those that I was discussing my Apline Sat nav (NVE-N099P) with yesterday you'll be glad to know that I did get it working today, The Japanese facia plate that I popped out quite easliy was hiding a power button LOL! AND it's touch screen hence the button plate isnt even connected it is litterely filling a hole, Found the remote too just incase I cant bother to reach out and enter a destination. BTW it is all in English and working perfectly NIIICE!!! BTW can anyone recommend someone to trim my centre console? I saw a few of you guys had it done yesterday and I thought it looked sweeet! Cheers. pics are coming.....
