  1. I am in south Buckinghamshire - not far form London. Near the M25/M40 junction
  2. Can anyone recommend a 350Z specialist who knows the cars well and who can provide help, support and servicing etc? I have spoken to many Nissan dealers selling 350Z's and if you ask them a question most just give you a vacant look as they simply don't know, which does not give you much confidence when making an expensive purchase.
  3. Halfords sells a "nylon and rubber" lubricant. It comes in a small aerosol. With the engine running spray this on to the auxiliary drive belt and onto the underside of the belt. This will silence any noise coming from your drive belt.
  4. Thanks, you could be right. II know there would be power there if I reved it to near its max but prevous 350Z's that I have driven had excellent torque low down and this one didn't.... Has the gearing been changed on the 2007 version as that would go some way to explaining it?
  5. That’s what I thought, but this fully loaded one I drove today felt distinctly flat and it only covered 8000 miles. There was no immediacy or shove in the back when you put your foot down, where as the 2006 model I drove last week felt much more fun and the shove was there is spades. There was also quite a nasty snatch when changing from 1st to 2nd gear – also going into 5th was not smooth either. Maybe it was just because it had only done 8k, I don’t know but it has sort of put me off buying one, plus all the hassle of trying to find a nice one. I have seen about 10 so far and they all have scratches, marks or tatty interiors. Also none of the main agents seem bothered about presenting the cars appropriately - maybe they are just used to the average Micra customer......
  6. Is it me or does the 2006 model with the 296hp engine feel more torquey lower down that the newer 2007 model with 313hp? I have just driven a 2007 car and found it quite lacking at normal driving speed compared to a 2006 model I drove 2 weeks ago which felt great.
  7. Can you just clarify and is this correct models 2003 - 2005 280hp - normal bonnet models 2006 - 2007 295hp - normal bonnet models after 2007 306hp - with bonnet bulge Does the face lift version feel quicker than the original model? or is there not much in it? Thanks
  8. Many thanks for the info I take it the bulge in the bonnet was due to the taller more powerful engine. I also assume that these have the 295hp engine
  9. Hello, I am new to this forum as I am considering purchasing a 350Z. I understand the 350Z was updated in 2006 and was given a more powerful engine. Please could someone tell me what the rest of the updates were and how they can be identified i.e. how would I know if the 350Z had the more powerful engine. Are there any give away signs etc. Many thanks.
