  1. Nice one Jez! Can you share the build details/pics here for those of us here not on facebook

You can still see the pics and spec without being a FB member :)

reckon itll be running at japfest?

    Yeah, should be

Oh details on the closed deck block!!

We CNC machined the block and then reversed the design and machined a plate to fit in the block - not tried this before, hopefully it strengthen it up a bit.

  2. You'll have a good time regardless of winning or not.

I've still got to build up my engine and sort out a load of other things, so the chances of it all being finished are slim. I've got a couple of customers (VX220t and an RX7) who are sposed to be entering, and I'll go along to the events to support them I expect.

  3. I've competed a few times in my old 200SX.

I'd really recommend it - its a great series, pretty friendly and good fun. I was similar to you in that I wanted to do something competitive after doing loads of trackdays.

I was planning on entering 2015 in my 350 but I probably won't be ready. The last time I entered I just did a "one hit wonder" at Snetterton in 2010, won the class B)

  4. Glad its sorted :)

We checked out the disks because Si mentioned the vibration during the service. The front left disk had a load of DTV (disk thickness variation) - limit is 0.015mm his had around 0.05mm - so well out of spec.

I think the vibration was worse after we did the bushes because the old bush on the side with the wonky disk was barely attached to the arm.

  5. No, they won't be static routes - ISPs advertise which networks they can route to, to other ISPs. More networks/routes were added to the Internet which took the number of available routes on some routers to over 512k which is a limit on some routers.

I don't know any more than that to be honest - also been out of the networking game for ~10 years - the protocols etc have prob changed a bit.

  6. Are you sure its fuel fumes and not from the open engine breather? If you can smell fuel when driving then it'll be a fuel leak or an exhaust leak. If its an oily smell it'll probably be oil fumes from the breather - I think this is more likely as the vent was right next to the air intake for the cabin?
