  1. Hi Arkwright..I am new to this forum. Hence i have not seen your post before. Have only just joined few days ago. No...i didn't purchase the car from them. It came from Loughborough. You are right..the salesmen look just as shrewd as the people at the service desk. I am definitely putting in a complaint. Not going to let this go.

  2. Not really matey. It's couple of hours away. Found a garage called Dragon Engines in Chesterfield. They build engines for a living and they do Service and MOT as well. Will let everyone knows if they are any good a bit later in the week. It's difficult to find an independent Nissan specialist in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area as I have found out. Would be nice if anyone from around this area could share their experience.

  3. To all the Zed owners who live in mansfield or close to mansfield area. Avoid Evans Halshaw Nissan in Mansfield on Southwell Rd West at all cost. They know nothing about the Zed. All they are good at is changing the breaks, oil filter and ticking the MOT checklist of OAP's cars like Micra etc. My 350z has been sat outside their workshop for few weeks as they keep saying the parts are on back order. And when they do finally arrive after god knows how long..they have ordered the wrong parts! . And the people in the Service desk are not very helpful. They do not ring you back everytime you have left a message. And they are incredibly elusive. They are always out of their desk and when they do get your messages..they do not return your calls. And these woman at the SERVICE desk don't even know anything about the engine..that's reassuring. :yuck: They charge 80pounds an hour excluding VAT for labour. You are far better off going to an independent garage. You have been warned.

  4. Thanks guys..have had a few chat with people on here and the general consensus is the Nissan Xanavi Birdview sat nav system is rubbish. My zed comes with a retrofitted birdview nissan sat nav but the remote is missing :console: There is a member here called nurish who sells custom made sat nav that fits into the cubby. His system has bluetooth functionality incorprated. I think I will give him a bell.

  5. Hi..I am a Zed newbie. Have recently bought a UK model Category C stolen and recovered 350Z from a salvage company down in Loughborough. The car is in the Nissan garage being restored to life..yes..i know..it's going to do a lot of damage to the pocket :headhurt: The 350z comes with a retrofitted Nissan Xanavi Birdview Sat Nav. It's a 53 reg car. Spoke to the girl from Nissan this morning and I don't think she has a clue about how the unit operates. She keeps saying there should be a remote that comes with the unit. We were unable to locate the remote in the car. Are they not touch screen operated? Is there actually a remote? Where do you usually find the remote?

Would be helpful is someone could show me a picture of what the remote looks like if there is one indeed.
