Hi All,
Just tried using the search function to see if any of you had BBS' on your Zeds..... but no results....
Is this a website related glitch or has no one EVER asked about them!?
Oz
seems to be mrore a european car thing now although there were lots of sets of old lm's filtering over on imports a while ago. Rays or Volk seem to be jap wheel porn
I think i saw some z's running 19" bbs's using google images a while back

Nowhere near trade price! You would struggle to do better privately.
CAP Black Book says:
PRIVATE VALUATION
£14771 if sold privately in showroom condition
TRADE VALUATION
£12848 for showroom condition
£12170 for average condition
£11261 for below average condition
You've clearly missed the point mate.
I already have a deal with a trader set up, signed and agreed to that i buy a car from them and they take the z as trade in. I was just offering the z on here first as the trader will no doubt add a mark up.
The traders i have spoke with about buying cars off them and using the z as trade in have all refered to a guide price and said they would be able to give me in the region of 13.5-14 , this 14.5 however is above average, i realise that, hence i agreed a deal. A couple of other dealers said that they'd give a better price for the z if they hadn't reduced the price of the vehicle tey were selling so much, it all comes down the the amount they want to make off the cars i suppose.
Mods can you please lock/delete this thread.

I'm not a potential buyer and so don't have any vested interest in saying this, but imho that is a great price. I'd bite their hand off + it makes it a fair bit easier for you to conclude one deal as opposed to two + you're selling to a dealer which is safer, etc.
very true, i thought similar so gave a deposit (refunable if not satisfied witht he car) to secure the deal with the arrangement of finalising it this weekend when they have the car in and have seviced and valleted it for me.

£14500 is a great trade price .....
i think they want rid of their a3 then!

monday bump - revised price as it'll be traded in this coming weeekend if not sold

dont use halfords
use a specialist auto paints shop. One in most large towns and they;ll find the correct colour and advise the correct type of paint

Thank you for looking, dont worry about it

what did mrs syvee say then?

the buddy club rail isnt cheap, but its a very nice bit of kit. I see alot of seats and raisl in my job (i design interior trim for cars) and i was impressed with just how compact it is. I got mine from a chap on here that had never used his so i dont know the new price, have a look around for buddy club super low seat rail

Yeah it'd be nice!
Nissan filled the space with glove box and speaker's etc and i think the bulkhead is higher on the real car as the show car looks to be on a non production chassis
-
I agree it is kind of a pointless space ... I've been using it for things like anti-freeze and ice scraper etc ...
That's because the rear strut brace was an after thought that came through necessity I believe. The boot was never supposed to be split in two but it became apparent during pre-manufacture testing that a rear strut would be required.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong……………..
no problem....
the strut brace was present in the concept car released in 2001 at the detroit show
(see link http://www.allsportauto.com/english/nissan_z_concept_car.php)
At this stage of the project engineering have little or no input into the chassis dynamics and no opportunity to test what was proposed. The concept was designed and created by Nissan North America and providing they function like Nissan Design Europe the styling studio is responsible for the design and creation of concept vehicle's, usually using outsourced suppliers to make it a reality. So the strutbrace was part of the styling theme and its no supprise when they came to put a strut brace under the plastic mouldings they had to allow some extra thickness to pakcage it. Whats left is a pretty rubbish boot but it does for most day to day items

Nice! good to see one in that colour - loses the old man image a bit!
Is that the 5.0 supercharged engine like the RR sport cos one of those stayed on my bumper till '70' recently it must be like a rociketship in that platform!

So the battery fit like a charm. I used a 005L which is a uk battery. You need to change the terminals but if you have a JDM then its worth it. no more 3 days and your battery goes flat and it starts so quick now.
Where did you get if from? How much was it? I am sure other members could use this info for when their battery goes wrong
Are jdm batterys really bad?
My UK battery lasted 3 years and 37k then gave up.
Bit crap really, my old GTI battery lasted 9 years! I replaced it with a bigger halfords battery for my corrado that i had lying around on charge. 50mm too wide (i think the standard one is 230mm) but it just fit in and works

very nice. wanted an m3 over the z for all the reasons you said but bought the z cos of the running costs on the bm!
The other plus point I noted whilst cleaning it is that the BMW paint must be a zillion times thicker than the Nissan paint as there are virtually no stone chips at all considering its a 7 year old car......Nissan paint is very thin. take a look at the difference in colour between the bumpers and body on all new new nissans.... scary!

Not if its been delimited
sssh! dont tell anyone that!

And V rated tyres.
No thanks..
That is a rating of upto 149 - how fast can Zeds go? I havent had mine up that fast.
are they not jdm 17's though so a import can only go 112 so v is fine?

wonder if 5th gear or rivals can try and re-enact that, be much more impressive than an aygo round a loop the loop!

Love it, great vid. ...so, were you searching for 'Asian Girls' online...?
very glad he did!

Who also lives at home with their parents?
me! lol, had my house for a lil while but i'm renovating the whole of the inside of it so i'm staying with the folks... its annoying to spend the 'play with z' money on random odds and sods in homebase and screwfix each weekend, but ho hum, it'll be finished soon! then the Z can live in the garage again!

Senior Designer (Contractor) currently designing interior trim for Aston Martin
My son does interior trim for Ford Australia ....previously worked on the Bentley GT and subsequently the GTC
I know you contractors are a close knit bunch, especially the Catia guys ..... have you ever crossed paths? he's called Gaz
I dont know a Gaz out there i'm afraid, i know a paul but that doesnt really help sounds like hes having fun!
Yeah its a pretty good industry to be in really (if you dis-regard the current eco down turn). If your a car geek its perfect as all the passion for making your project cars and daily drives look cool and individual can pay the bills + wherever you go you bump into people you know or who know people you know, most of us tend to have worked with a few CAD packages. I work with the rival software, IDEAS, every day and have only done training courses for CATIA but never had the chance to use it in anger. I want to get up to bentley and oz eventually but but i quite like it hear atm!
