  1. That must have been annoying Stew, its kind of a last minute thing as we have agreed a mortgage and an asking price with solicitors but it still has the stamp duty in the paperwork, does this mean its to late? we havent agreed a moving in date or transfered any money yet though..

  2. well from someone whose now going through his first house purchase im alittle bit excited! Ive read through the increase in stamp duty threshold to 250k but ive only found one website that has said it goes into action from midnight tonight! :yahoo: Did anyone listen live to that particular point as im still unsure if thats actually happening. If so it saves me £1500 as only now agreed a buying price on the property.

  3. Think the rules are fine. If people want to buy something from someone with only 20 posts they have to be prepared to not get it. The "for sale" area too me is a place to buy from long term members, i very rarely look at a thread if i dont recognise the OP name or if i cant collect it in person.

  4. I was washing the wheels of the car today and when going over the sidewall of the tyre i notices a 1/2 inch slice, thinking that maybe it had rubbed against something i scrubbed it a little and noticed it went ALOT deeper. The hole probably goes about 1 inch deep, so im guessing someone has taken a knife to it  However the tyre is still at the right presure and isnt losing any air, what im questioning is do you think its best to get another tyre? Im not sure how its managed to go that deep without damaging it, what i dont want is the tyre to get warm and then possibly cause a blowout!

    Anyone had this before?

  5. i have a rattle with my HFC's after they were fitted, but it only happens at very low revs, i.e if i pull away in too high a gear etc. but apart form that nothing.

so i'll check my rear heat shields as thats where the noise is coming from. (i think)

don't forget also when swapping over to HFC/decats, most don't have the support that joins the 2 togther, so the exhaust has more flex than usual.

i think the Berks were the only one that put a new one back in.

I was thinking that the bracket might be making the difference, might have to custom make something just to protect the flexi's if nothing else
