  1. Thanks Chris ill have a look now
  2. Cheers CS,im sure thats already been done though,i had two new front tyres put on last week & got him to check them then, took the caliper off, popped both pads out, both look brand new near enough.bloody bone dry though so he refitted them with copper grease but it hasnt stopped.lol Thanks M13KYF ill do a search now Thinking about it i didnt once hear them squuek when i went to see the car or when he took it out, maybe hes just had them in,didnt tell me about them.If thats the case then the 90mph he did when he took my dad out in it wouldnt of helped wer them in would it
  3. Hi guys ive just took this out my passenger footwell, looks to me like a cd holder or maybe even an empty first aid box.lol. Anyway one of you might be able to shed some more light onto what it is.Wont let me upload the pics on here so ill have to link to imageshack as even they dont thumbnail anymore http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/6358/photo008uuq.jpg http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/7835/photo009v.jpg
  4. Hi guys, just put my car back together earlier, everythings fine except the passenger rear quarter,it will not stay put around the boot area when you click everything else back in.No problem with the other side, even with the broken peg in that part it sits flush. Anyone else had this?all the other pegs go back in no problems but the pegs that slide under the top half of the quarter just come back out far enough to see the whole lip
  5. Hi guys, since picking the car up nearly 2 weeks ago ive had the most annoying, and embarrassing high pitch rather loud squeak! if i brake gently i can get away without the noise most times, same as if i brake hard.It just so happens that it wants to do it under the 'normal' amount of braking Anyone throw ideas this way as to what could be the problem?Had a look at the front pads and they look pretty new, discs look ok too unless ive overlooked something. Cheers in advance people Shaun Oh yeah, itd help if i said it sounds like its just the left front
  6. Well i think im going to have a crack at making that box the fiddy kindly put up there. If it doesnt work then ill get someone else to have a go.lol.
  7. Chris mine looks like your bottom picture still from yesterday.lol. Fiddy that could well be a massive help dude, ill see if the audio shop have tinterweb there so i can show him
  8. Not a problem helimeddaz mate youve been ery helpfull upto now anyway Yokomo i did consider that but i really cant give the car away for however long it takes.lol.I helped my mate do a fibreglass install in another mates skyline, looked ok once it was covered in carpet but i thought it looked a bit shabby otherwise.lol. admittedly it was the parts you cant see but i suppose id expected something like majority of an mdf box, like a bottom & 2 sides or something, then after the rings are mounted fibreglassing the front but he did the whole boxes in fibreglass. Got through alot of our mates old t shirts & material too.lol
  9. Dont suppose you happen to know the dimensions of the box do you mate?
  10. My mate told me abot Talkaudio a while back while i was sub hunting, ive got to say theyre are the most ignorant bunch of people i could ever meet! You go on and asked for clued up peoples advise on something your thinking or buying & possible alternatives withing x amount price range. In the 3 days i checked for replies did i get any..... not a sodding single reply that to me is ignorant
  11. So the sub would face upwards towards the speakers & nav drive then yeah?or do you mount it so it faces out as usual? Theyre got some pretty sweet stuff on the site After talking to the audio shop & then coming home to rip the back of the zed apart that is as far as ive got.lol.Still no closer to making a decision but it looks like ill have my big audiobahn amp, kicker l7 & possibly my little jbl amp to shift on
  12. Thats exactly what we need over here isnt it.Imagine the postage on the bugger though, the JL alone would weigh a fair amount.Would the speaker cover fit over that box though?
  13. Cheers helimeddaz thats quite helpfull, thats ideally what id like but what happens if you need access to your fuel pump?lol.got my car all stripped out now & its far from being a simple shaped & sized box thats needed
  14. Ill guess ill just have to go down there shortly andshow him whats what space wise wont i.Cheers peeps
  15. Ahhh damnnnn.lol. cheers matt thats quite informative there chief totally unsure now as what to do,the audio shop said maybe a custom box built inside the standard place but i told him about the fuel pump point so thats a no go.has anyone ever had a box made up to fill the space under & infront of the rear strut?id love to keep the l7 but the box its in now is like the size of a double 12'' box The box would need to be huge & that would take up too much space, ideally though i wanted as much hidden as possible, think ill be mounting at least one of my amps in the wheel well. I really havent got the time to give the zed away to have a box done as its my daily driver, infact id guess i dont have the fundage either to get a custom box made. All this faffing just for a sub Oh yeah i listen to R&B and hip hop mostly.lol. i like my bigg bass too
  16. I tried it under the passenger seat & itl go in fine ill just have to put a couple of slits in the carpet under there to run the wires out of sight. I think the spare wheel well will be the place for me,would need to get a fan in there to keep the amp cool though id say.Anyone had any issues or hearing of the well getting damp in colder weather etc?
  17. JDM have some on ebay at £10.45 delivered,i ordered some earlier on
  18. Cheers mate,im sure i read in another thread on here that it can be sealed with dynamat or the like & then its left with after 2cubic ft of volume obviously without the sub in.Ill see tomorow when i go there but its highly unlikely the kicker can stay, its square for starters.lol
  19. Has anyone sealed the box for the standard bose sub & put another 10''in it? Going to my local audio shop tomorow with the zed to see about doing a deal on a 10'' against the 12'' l7 i got off them a few months back. Obviously as the l7 is the top of that bit of the Kicker range i need a 10 that will give me the same kind of performance but in the zed.Any suggestions?
  20. Hi guys, shortly ill be looking to put my ice into the zed,i just wondered if anyone had removed the spare wheel, built a floor & fitted amps etc under there to keep everything clean looking & useable? Its just that the amp i have to run the Kicker L7 i have is the size of a pillow on your bed.lol.Obviously theres not many places you can manage to hide that & i kinda like the zed keeping its windows Has anyone done it? do people think its doable etc etc? Its already looking like im going to have to chop the L7 in for a 10 to run in the standard space when its been fully sealed. Figured earlier too that the brain for my head unit will go nicely under the passenger seat with no problems so thats a good point.
  21. That would be awesome that matey
  22. Ill have to keep my eye open for threads off you then Scott
  23. Ahh right,i thought the rear strut bit id spotted on here was that carbon effect stuff.lol. What about some of the dash parts that Envy sell as theyre pretttyyyy expensive.lol. Id definately be up for a lip spoiler though at some point
  24. Hi guys, ive got all my ice from the fto to get into the zed, including a huge audiobahn amp & a Kicker L7 12 in a huge box.lol. Anyways to get my stereo swapped over would this do the trick? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-CD-RA ... 286.c0.m14 Shaun
  25. How aout carbon lep spoilers for the boot? As someone mentioned above the steering wheel control bits would be cool too What about the silver Z part of the rear strut? thatd be nice in cf
